Unfortunately, Simmons does not go back that far and I don't believe there were any high school computer rankings back then.

I would love to know how the great DarkHorse teams of the Willie Parker era would have rated. Despite the huge upset in 1998, I thought the run that Clinton had then was one of the greatest in North Carolina football history.

One of the most exciting games in the history of Community Stadium (opened in 1985) was Reidsville's 1998 third round victory over 2 time state champ Clinton by a score of 34-33....truly an epic contest.................

yes 1995-1998 was a good rung of course Willie didn't come up until 199 as a sophmore but we had Leonad Henry who was just as great a DarkHorse player (ECU/Miami Dolphin starter) But the Horses were state runnerups in 1995m won SC in 1996 and 1997 and of course you know what happened in 1998. This was before split classifications.

please don't remind us, missed ep by a kicker who set a state recored (some still say it wass over the upright) we were sure thinking it was going to be a 3 peat but it didn't happen. I was working in the pressbox that night doing radio and some funished the pressbox with a roasted port loin with the trimmings (pig picking cake) Might fine hospitality but sure disappointment in the game. Willie Parker set a personal best game rushing total that night (I think around 250 yeards) and our big fullback fumbled 3 times in the scoring zone. (his son is the fullback on our current team and a beast!)

2015 Crest went undefeated and won 3A state championship.
2016 Crest got beat in 2nd round.

Anyone ever noticed how many times Reidsville posters will create a post to toot their own horns? Amazing....kinda like the Richmond County posters on the 4A board. Any chance they get to post the littlest bit of something positive they jump all over it.

Simmons ratings have several factors including margin of victory. If we played Chase every week as Reidsville does, our rating would probably be approaching 200.

Let's just see who is where Dec. 9th....that is of course...unless Reidsville is able to dodge us again this year.

Here's another little Reidsville tibit for the most sustained football program in the state history. Shelby won their first title in 47. Reidsville in 1930. Shelby 1 title in every 4.6 years. Reidsville 1 in every 4.5. For every other Shelby and Reidsville fan.... Pretty cool stat.
