24 for Shelby is really impressive.
NCHSAA chooses to leave out any success the Golden Lions had from 1972-1976.

We have 28 since 1972. 72, 74, 75, 76 need to be added.

Either have to count them all or count none of them as NCHSAA teams didn't have to play WNCHSAA and vice versa.

28 out of 50....think about it.

I ask this because I assume you have already done the research not to start further argument.

Does the nchsaa count state championships won by Dudley in the black high school association before integration?

Good job on the research!

One slight correction @Deana_King for Clinton 2015 not 2018. 2015 was the Bunn game. 2018 we lost in round 2 vs Kinston. I’m sure just a typo it happens. Great research cause this a question I was trying to find out. Thank you.

Does the nchsaa count state championships won by Dudley in the black high school association before integration?

The NCHSAA posts a separate page to recognize the Championships of the black high schools prior to integration. They were not under NCHSAA governance.
Same thing applies to the WNCHSAA.
Unfortunately, the NCHSAA, by design and retribution, makes no attempt to correct and post the parallel activity of the WNCHSAA (or the black high schools) programs from 1930 until merger with the NCHSAA in 1977, when all public high schools came under one governing body.
Instead, they use the absurd year of 1972 to count records, having the WNCHSAA years of 1972 through 1976 simply vanish.

Two regional final appearances for Reidsville that were left out.....1998 and 2005....Who the heck does the research for NCHSSA?? Shouldn't be all that hard to keep up with..................................
