This is 2A version of this thread. I just wanted to do an individual one per category to just focus on each of the two teams in their A classification. So here we are with Northeastern and Monroe. Monroe is arguably one of the electric teams in any classification. Northeastern is one of the most solid and consistent teams in the state over the last several years.

Northeastern: Their OL has provided a pocket for their QB to throw for 4297 yards, very impressive. They have also paved the way for several RB's tabulate 2709 rushing yards. Those totals are good for 7006 yards of offense on the season with an average of 467 yards per game. Having a QB throw for over 4,000 yards in high school is very impressive. Pass protection is not the easiest thing in the world to manage and learn, but they seem to do it well. They also average 48 points per game. Very good offensive unit.

Monroe: Electric is definitely the word I would use to describe them on offense. They have a few guys that can house it from anywhere on the field. This OL unit has given their QB the opportunity to throw for 1816 yards and run for 1115 yards, that's impressive. As a unit they have pushed guys around to get their running game 3763 yards, safe to say they run the ball well. They average 398 yards of offense per game while scoring 50 ppg. It's got to be fun blocking for guys with this kind of speed and athleticism. Enjoy it one more time.

Massey has this game as the largest margin of victory with Monroe winning 48-20. I can see that happening. I think Northeastern will get theirs early, but unless Monroe is just plain off I think they win.
