I truly believe the Shelby posters know we are in for a dogfight Friday night and Monroe doesn't have many posters.Should be a classic in Blanton Memorial.
Crowd wise it won't be close unfortunatelyThat's true we have a very good team coming to our house. It has the feel of the game at Pisgah. Cold but no helicopters or bears.
That reminds me do you still have my tape of the game that you borrowed 10 years ago?Crowd wise it won't be close unfortunately
Especially in the 20's and 30'sI do miss having a big bulldozer like Parks run the ball for Shelby.
I have transitioned. I like this style better. Don't have to worry about finding 3 good RBs anymore. As long as we have a good QB it will work. We have been blessed to have 3 straight. May be more of a challenge next year though, loosing 7 starters on O!Oh yeah, no doubt. I realize I'm outdated, but I just enjoyed the QB under center, fullback up the middle style of football more. This new style is obviously working, just a personal preference.
Good luck, Lions.
Trivia fact: Shelby’s first state title game was in 1922, when it lost 14-13 to Monroe. The game was tied after regulation and completed the next day.
