Spoke to an assistant at Dillon, he mentioned you guys and stated they would love a home and home series with you. RH South Pointe I'm not sure, don't know anyone there
I would ask you what the line on the game would be but I think you already did a line with a rolled up dollar bill.
Brotha, i have no team in that battle. In fact I think you have a great team, but besides the many 4a teams that would give Shelby hell, I just wanted to give you a reality check that Wallace Rose Hill can make your same claim and they are way smaller than your squad.
Not saying this team would beat Shelby... But listen for mountain heritage. They just killed Erwin tonight. They should finish the season unbeaten
I would love to see Heritage face Shelby down the road this season. I hope they finish the season without a loss but it's a long season and I expect at least one hiccup along the way. I am extremely pleased with how they played last night. Anytime you score 44 points on a team like Erwin in the first half and hold them to only 7...that's impressive. Especially when they just beat Davidson Day last week and have a kid whose probably going to become WNC all yoke passing yards leader. Most of Erwin's points came in the 2nd half. I feel Shelby would get the better of Heritage by 14-17 points, but hopefully they could prove me wrong.
Heritage's star player that most everyone has heard of is QB Trey Robinson. He is a junior, and is a 3 year varsity starter. Preseason WHC POY. Put up great numbers as a freshmen and sophomore. Another player to keep an eye on is RB Justin Keener. He's small, but is really quick and runs hard. He's got pretty good speed, nothing mind blowing but he's just extremely quick. Think of a Darren Sproles type of player. He had 5 touchdowns in the first half against Erwin. Finished with 6. Denton is the transfer from Madison, who has really good speed and is a physical runner. Cole Burleson is a 6'3ish WR who has pretty good speed, great hands, and has movies in the open field. Looking at them take the field, the team looks kind of small and average to be honest. As far as tough opponents that should give them a game the rest of the season, there really isn't one. They play Mitchell at Mitchell who played WRH last year in the 1aa title game. That might be a hiccup since Heritage-Mitchell are HUGE rivals. There were thousands of people at that game last year. If Heritage continues to roll they should end the season and go into the playoffs undefeated. The first game of the year they played 5A Davie Crockett out of Tennessee who have a RB named TK Hill. He's supposed to be one of the best backs in Tennessee, and Heritage held up to 45 yards. The defense is stubborn.

North Davidson may have something for Shelby next year when they come down from 4a. Not this year, but I look forward to the game if it happens. We shared a title in 75, as I'm sure you old dudes recall
