Don't think anyone could argue that. It was a good year of Rams football and suspect they will be a force to be reckoned with in the next few years in the 2A ranks.
Penalty before the half hurt the Rams as they had some momentum. Good teams make you pay for mistakes.
Starmount has had 2 back to back good seasons at 10-2 and 11-2 and the culture has returned.
We list a good group of seniors that were a big part of the turnaround. We have some younger players that will be back next season as we start 2A.

Looking like this will be the 4th round of 1A West. Numbers 1,2,3 & 5.. I don't see anyone coming back

Well, I went back and looked at it and I heard the radio announcer wrong it wasn't a Mtn Heritage kid who took the cheap shot on the last play which was the victory formation, but #40 on EW ran up a took his forearm and hit the center I believe but any a lineman. And the play before that was EW #59 who's huge bty threw a MH player after the play but at least he and the MH player shook hands before the last play it was just obviously out of frustration.
Heritage LIVES in the weight room ,as there’s a full kitchen and tv ,beds and a library there too.
Well while strength of course is needed but I've seen big strong guys who still not very good blockers , you need good technique as well.
Starmount is definitely better than when Mt Airy played them early in the season. And even when the game was in Mt Airy's hands they did not stop playing hard. My hat goes off to them and their coaching staff. It is great for them, for the conference and our area that Starmount is back !!

I am not sure Mount Airy is playing well enough to get by another week much less win the West. They are having a lot of trouble the last few weeks on DF & OF. I just hope it is my listening to the game and not the Bears !

Corvian is real deal well discipline team,I figured they would match up with mt airy ..early prediction…Corvian.
They had a lot of penalties that hurt drives they can't do that against MA.

Yes its correct #40 should have been thrown out a couple times they clearly wasn’t used to getting punched in the mouth I don’t think heritage had a negative play

I just finished watching that game. I was pulling for Tech also.
1- same goes for MH. They weren't angels out there either. As I stated on my other post. Officials are to blame for all the heated exchanges between both teams.
2- some play calling I questioned but don't really have a passing game so what do you do? Do what works.
3-bad tackling and wrong reads in the running game has nothing to do with the coach, a read during the play is on the qb.
Same goes for MH, really man. One of your players threw a football at our players and then when they were getting beat by 30 points tried to take cheap shots on our players, knowing they already lost. And then we try to knee the ball and end the game. And one of your players runs throught the line shoving the center down for no reason. I was at the game and yes the officials were crap but that's no excuse for the bad sportsmanship.

Yes really man. One of your players literally tackled our guy out of bounds and wouldn't let go, they both ended up rolling almost to the track on our side, albeit wasn't even the dang ball carrier for crying out loud. As I said on my other post I don't agree with all unsportsmanlike crap that happened. Wanna bash them on unsportsmanlike take a look at yourself as well. Again had the officials intervened half the nonsense wouldn't have happened.
I guess EW really does play to the end, maybe MH should have been ready on final play like every other play🤷

That's no excuse EW. Just because our player tackled your guy a little outside the white line does not give you guys the green light to throw a football at our guys and then take cheap shots once your down by 30. And yes there are Words being said on that line because I was on that line a few years ago and there are some words that come out but it never turned into punches being thrown or balls being thrown at other players. There's no excuse for that.
Regardless how bad we got beat I'm still gonna comment. It's my team and as I've said repeatedly I don't agree with any of it. But yall seriously acting like yall are innocent.

Sounds like a one sided brawl because I’ve seen MH get even after being teased just alittle,news 13 Asheville was there and wanted to interview half of MH players!
