I've seen he's not even on APP ST roster with a number? Is he redshirting this year? Number one back per yardage in the nation and redshirting? Anyone have knowledge on this?

Haven’t heard a thing. If so, I wouldn’t look at it as a bad thing.
Just look at their website. No number given to him. At the bottom like as a walk on. Weird to say the least. He didn't go to app to redshirt? But also could be a good thing. College life is hard for some to adjust

Just looked at the App roster after reading this thread. It looks like they have not assigned numbers to incoming freshmen yet to me. If you look carefully, there is not a freshmen with a number except redshirt freshmen. All the guys listed at the bottom without a number are their incoming recruiting class.

Kanye is def. #14 for the mountaineers, apparently its a coveted number and he got it, a lot of history in #14 at App State, and although its not official it does appear he will be redshirted but can still play in 4 games.

Just the center. Got big guys mostly from JV that have always blocked for wing t. Could mature into better than last year. JV dominated last year. We’ll see

79, do we have a dependable kicker this year?
We had one last year and didn’t use him for several reasons. One was, instead of kicking deep, we chose to kick short to prevent run backs. Couldn’t afford to use our stars and get them hurt. Another was kicking onside kicks for the same reason and it upped our possessions in several key games. Downside to that was if we didn’t get it left a short field for opposing offense. As far as field goals, we could have had more attempts but 6 is better than 3. We also kicked many extra points but seems like if he missed one early, we kept trying to make up with 2. Sometimes I think Kevin knew teams couldn’t stop us from 2 and almost no ever did. I know you didn’t ask for all that olddog but the answer to your question. Yes, we do. Seen him practicing about an hour ago. I see him kicking often with another person

We had a great year last year and not kicking a fg did not hurt us. However, when it's 4and8 from the 13 yd line against east duplin, we need a fg kicker. Just saying. Like you, I'm looking forward to big things again this year.

Yes we do. Lon Teachey had a few of those last year. Lon was an excellent kicker. Hope he does well at Mars Hill. I’m really happy for him and his family.
