Remember West Craven kids in prayer.

We lost 2 of our kids in a wreck yesterday on their way to Greenville to work out. Charles CJ Elliott and Isaiah Yates. Both had just signed papers to pay football in college last week. Our players, students, teaching staff, and our Coaching staff need prayer in this difficult time. These were 2 really good kids that never gave you a moments trouble. They will never be forgotten.

The community met today at the school with the families, students, teachers and coaching staff. I'm proud to say I'm an Eagle!! I'm very proud of our community today. There is great pain but this will make us stronger as a community and family.

How you been Otis? This is very sad. I posted something similar on HSOT Friday night about them. It's amazing how the county has come together over this. Especially the kids. My daughter went Saturday and also to Isaiah's funeral today. Lot's of NB and Havelock kids attended both events. You Eagles are in our prayers!

I saw quite a few from New Bern and Havelock there Saturday. I didn't go to the funeral today but my wife and my daughter did. Something positive has to come from this. I saw all those students from West Craven, New Bern, Havelock all join hands and formed a circle all the way around the gym and joined in prayer. It was amazing to see. Nobody planned or prompted it. These kids are good kids and we need to support them and show them love. So many walk around sometimes with a chip on their shoulder because they don't feel loved. I saw 15-18 year old young men crying their hearts out Saturday. I hope this continues and spreads. CJ and Isaiah are worth it.
