I seen where rising sophomore jariel Cobb got an offer from Louisville, off to a good start.
I was impressed with him in our game. He has great get off and closing speed. Good looking athlete.I seen where rising sophomore jariel Cobb got an offer from Louisville, off to a good start.

The first of many for this young man.I seen where rising sophomore jariel Cobb got an offer from Louisville, off to a good start.
Kid is going to be a monster.
Him and Jonathan from cummings, going to turn into TWO huge recuits in the state
Jariel Cobb is also one of the top students in his class. Has a nearly perfect gpa and is enrolled in the IB Program.
Grades matter. A lot.
I agree, wow that kid was 🔥I think flippen is a huge recruit from reidsville also, he was close in the state in leading in receiving stats as a sophomore.
He is getting tons of recruiting interest as well as QB Al Lee. Coaches are saying he can play anywhere he choses. I will get more info later.@tarheel fan1 Hope he doesn’t get the Jayden Borders treatment. Borders had a phenomenal sophomore year, too, and one of the greatest careers, statewide, as a receiver, period. But, the young man played at only about 150 pounds. You would never know it just looking at him, though. You’d seriously would have thought, 5’11 175, just looking at him, at least by his senior year. Anyway, he was drastically “underrecruitted”. The young man was a freak of an athlete. Power 5 schools shunned him, because of his size.
I was highly impressed with Flippen. I had looked at his Hudl mid season. He’s obviously a burner, and he has great hands as well. Despite being slightly built, he’d thump you, too, as a db. Like Borders, just looking at him, he looks bigger than what he’s listed as on the roster.
Sincerely hope the young man get his, though, recruiting wise. Hope his size won’t be detrimental to him, because he has everything else.

I tell people all of the time that Reidsville is the breeding ground for talent in our area. Just over the line at GW Danville we’ve had many great athletes get little to no exposure. Your starting RB/LB left Danville with no offers. I truly believe had he and his brother played at Reidsville all 4 years, they would’ve both been at least FCS guys.Exactly, good news is Borders did get ecu. I think Flippen will at least get schools like ecu offer. I believe Breon pass helped open the door recruiting wise for Reidsville. Shelby does well getting kids big time offers.
He does have some offers, he has averette, Ferrum and Lynchburg the hbcu (which is his best offer). I do think he should have more though. Cam peoples has a decent amount of offers. Now is a good time for reidsville lots of kids are getting looked at, imo. I miss gw vs reidsville games it needs to continueI tell people all of the time that Reidsville is the breeding ground for talent in our area. Que shyne flippen got an offer from Marshall university. I think he will get a few more as well
Flippen, Cobb and other Rams were at the Alabama and North Carolina 7 on 7 competitions recently. Flippen turned some heads with his speed, 4.3 something in the forty. Some big time high school programs could not cover him at all.Que shyne flippen got an offer from Marshall university. I think he will get a few more as well
Freshman TE Kendre Harrison with his first offer from Wake Forest!
Freshman Harrison is getting national recruiting attention from the big boys. He is 6'5".I seen that. Cobb, flippen and Harrison with some impressive offers. Kendre is probably the biggest prospect of them all
Freshman Harrison is getting national recruiting attention from the big boys. He is 6'5".
Also, lots of recruiters think Cobb's best position is Running Back. Will be interesting to see if he can go both ways as young as he is.
Harrison measured 6'5" at camps this summer. He was also consistently timed at 4.8 in forty. He will play Defensive End and Wide Receiver. I would hate to be one of those small defensive backs trying to cover him. Can't double him up because Flippen will have double coverage on opposite side.I hear Cobb is the starter at running back. I like redd as well. He can do it rankin had to do it , we have some depth at those positions as well
I thought Harrison was listed as 6’7?
according to reidsville football web site...the rams are playing northern guilford on aug. 10th at 10am at northern....not sure about the 12th......6pm is the time listed...but no teams....................
So he will get to lose to Shelby again this year ?I seen where rising sophomore jariel Cobb got an offer from Louisville, off to a good start.
Yes...Brian Wilson....father of Tanner Wilson (the starting QB for Reidsville's 2016 state championship team) was killed in a head on collision with another car...the driver of the other vehicle was also killed....Don't know any other details at this time.....so sad to hear for all involved.............I just saw that Reidsville lost a Father/faithful supporter to a vehicle crash today. So sorry to see this this.
My prayers are for family and community.Yes...Brian Wilson....father of Tanner Wilson (the starting QB for Reidsville's 2016 state championship team) was killed in a head on collision with another car...the driver of the other vehicle was also killed....Don't know any other details at this time.....so sad to hear for all involved.............
You shoulda beat Hendersonville so you guys coulda made the tripSo he will get to lose to Shelby again this year ?
Tanner's grandfather, James Wilson, played football at Glen Alpine High school in the early 60's for Jug Wilson. When he was inducted into their Hall of Fame posthumously, I met Brian and Tanner. They come from a great family and it was heartbreaking to hear of Brian's tragic death.Yes...Brian Wilson....father of Tanner Wilson (the starting QB for Reidsville's 2016 state championship team) was killed in a head on collision with another car...the driver of the other vehicle was also killed....Don't know any other details at this time.....so sad to hear for all involved.............

As someone who is closely associated with GW and follows the GW Danville football program that is simply not true. Shawn watlington had at least 6 fcs/fbs offers when he finished at GW. UMASS, Howard, William & Mary to name a few. Do a little more research before you speak on the program. Coach Anderson and his staff do a great job of promoting their players and are taking visits to campuses and attending camps on a REGULAR basis. Not too mention a large portion of the staff are retired coaches from NC who had loads of success at their previous schools. GW has had numerous players go to college for football in the last 2 years. (Even more in 2016, 2018-2019I tell people all of the time that Reidsville is the breeding ground for talent in our area. -Willie Edmunds (Youngstown state)
- Shakobe Hairston (Norfolk State)
- Jalen Strange (VSU)
- Jakobe Dixon (VUL)
- Don Howard (VSU)
-Ahmad Poole (VSU)
-Jalen Spratt (VSU)
Not too mention quite a few players who are/will be playing D-3.
Side note: it was a GW coach who helped Tyler Johnson from MV’ recruitment blow up.
I do my research well. GW athletes are just as good as the athletes at an Oscar Smith, Varina or Highland Springs. The days of Virginia Tech, UVA and other major programs lining up for GW athletes are practically non existent. Any kid can take a college visit and take pictures in an uniform. Had Donovan Howard, Worm Poole and Willie been at a Grimsley or Dudley, I see them going no lower than an App State or Marshall program. I’m hopeful Mori Dixon and the Mabin kid can get some offers soon. Those are big time kids in the GW program. As someone who is closely associated with GW and follows the GW Danville football program that is simply not true.
