Yeah feel bad for cobb. He was having a historic year and probably our best player this season

Huge loss ... no way can you replace one of the best in the state.
Next man up ... but who is that? Don't want Neal to do a lot more running. Candidates are Miller (5-11, 170 senior); Samalou (5-10, 145 freshman); Smith (5-9, 165 junior) and Savvion Johnson (5-9, 185 junior) . Through 9 games, Samalou had the most yards and that was only 74 yards on 14 carries in mop-up time.

I look for more flanker reverse type plays. Or just throw it on every down.

Kesean Henry that freshman that's highly spoken of will be in the rotation as well. I'd possibly see if one of our many wideouts could get some carries as well. Maybe Pinnix or Galloway.

Whether it's Randleman, Shelby, Monroe, or another team, they will still have to beat the Rams in Community Stadium. Not an easy task for any visiting team.

Looks like Reidsville and Randleman will be in the same bracket with Shelby and Monroe in the other one. Reidsville and Shelby would get the home field advantage if form holds.

Ain’t yall heard? All over 1A boards. Since Roundabout high lost that game to Trinity that means they are no threat at all. By extension, any team that beats them is now considered unworthy as well.

Reidsville survived and advanced in 2023 after losing their top returning rusher (Redd) ... but they had Cobb ready to fill in. Maybe there will be an emerging player this year also? Big difference was that Redd was lost in pre-season and Cobb was lost in week 10. At least there's an extra week to make adjustments.

Surely there are enough athletes on the team to produce enough yards on the ground to keep other teams honest. That’s all they need to do.

What happened to Monroe's second game of the season versus West Charlotte. What was the reason for the cancelation. (reason not excuse). Why wasn't it made up. I notice both teams now show 9 games played. What do you mean "excused" (sic). I don't remember Reidsville using that term last year. We just play the next one. Note: There is no animus in my inquiry.

Having the experience in our offensive line will help greatly. IMO give them a hole an see what they can do.

As far as running back, we're gonna have several decent guys like Michael Smith, Josiah Samolu, Kesean Henry, and rising freshman Jayden Stone but nobody that will be anywhere near the level of Cobb (which to be fair is hard to do).

They already hit the portal for a RB. Josiah transferred from Eden over the summer. I coached him during youth and he played with my son in middle school. Arguably the best player that Holmes had in the 8th grade. He will do big things over there. I wish i could of see him in the red and black. Coaching in Eden is atrocious. Its time for a complete reset from youth up to the high school in Eden.

Yeah I had heard that awhile back but forgot about it. He's looked pretty good running the ball so far, especially considering he's usually in with the back-up offensive line. He was inactive this past week when Cobb went down so he unfortunately wasn't able to fill in.
