reidsville morehead usually have pretty good crowds with good weather
They're probably one of the most underachieving schools in the state, no way they should be this bad.
Their wrestling team used to be one of the most dominant and talented athletic programs in all the state.
Yeah, I don't get it. I know they have athletes. Its a few other programs I don't get either. They don't lose that many kids that transfer either.
Eden's middle school football team has some decent size but is still the third best program in the county behind Reidsville and Western Rockingham (McMichael feeder).
3rd best isn't saying much....all three are pretty bad compared to RMS. They have a decent feeder program and the new high school coach seems to be trying to change the culture
otis...been making that drive every week (to Croatan)...it's a haul...and as big a fan as I am...wouldn't do that for this game (Reidsville/Morehead) unless I did have family involved...Heading out tomorrow to see the grandson's last JV game vs. W. Carteret and will stay on Fri to watch the varsity game since he will be dressing out for that as well....He had a monster game last thurs.. scoring 2 t.d.;s and 2 two point conversions....actually played in 2 offensive series in the varsity game the next nite (carrying the ball 3 times)....As far as NFHS....I'm not sure..........sounds like your Eagles (West Craven) ...are having a fine year...........
I'm not going to say we will win the East. Nobody knows any better than me the talent NE has. It will be a chore for anyone to beat them. The rest of the East I think we can matchup well with right now. We lost a big play maker in Isaiah Pelham last week to a knee injury. That hurts. But I think we are a legitimate 3 Rd team and who knows? Maybe we can surprise somebody.
It's calling for rain Thursday that is why our jv's played last night. I'll see how the weather goes. Maybe I'll catch your game. Is it at West Carteret?
Talking about how things have changed, Reidsville Wrestling 2x regional champions knocked them out of the dual Team playoff then beat them in the regional tournament the following year. That’s equivalent to McMichael knocking Reidsville out the 1st round of the Playoffs in football

Croatan j.v.;s play at W. Carteret..I think at 6:30....if they play....W.Cart. j.v.;s are 7-1.....Croatan 2-4............(3 games cancelled earlier because of covid isssues)...............
Was Croatans varsity bothered with covid? I hate that for them if it did. They were good enough to come play us after we lost our first game to covid.
Actually, I doubt either starts as the main back. One of the two will probably be the sb though.
At some point the discussion as to whether Flippen is the best WR to ever play for the Reidsville Rams will have to take place.

That dude is something else. When I was hearing about him in middle school it sounded like breon pass. I think flippen is def the best sophomore wr ever at Reidsville.
Correct ...Redd is 5-9, 170 sophomore; Cobb is 5-9, 178 freshman

Ottis, I can really appreciate your interest in high school football but like rambbq said, unless you have a family member involved in the Reidsville/Morehead game, I wouldn’t drive across town to it and I was born where Morehead’s located.
Reidsville fans, has there ever been a Reidsville/Morehead game that had any significance? I think around the time after I graduate in the late 60’s -79’s they had a tremendous athelete that went to play basketball I think at VT (Manuel?) but I don’t know how know how any teams he was on performed

Yes, morehead beat reidsville in 2005 and had a good team. Morehead also had a terrific team that went to the third round in 2015
Manuel was a scholarship player at Va. Tech but as a basketball player...Morehead won the state 3A title in basketball in 1966 and Dale Manuel was the centerpiece player.....been years since Morehead/Reidsville football game was a big time game but there were several of those in the late 50's...some in the 70's and 90's.....Morehead won a state 3A title in football in 1957 at Rockingham (Richmond County) and lost to the same Rockingham High School in title game in 1958 in what is now called Eden....To those that don't know....Eden is actually from 3 separate communities that merged in 1967....Leaksville, Spray and Draper......
