Freedom is not a mountain team, and ACR played in the state in 2017. AC has brothas on the team, they have a running back in rotation at South Carolina in Rico Dowdle. Keep beating “brothaless” mountain teams and pending 1A teams in the post season.

Reidsville vs The Heritage/Brevard in the Western Championship next season, unless them Shelby Boys are in 2A, and have a say, in the meantime, let’s take a trip back to reality, down memory lane.

I'd say Rock Hill South Pointe is just like playing a Charlotte school. I respect the Rams (they have our number) but it feels like lately small 2A has been a bit down in the West. Not taking anything away from anyone because lord knows we haven't had much to say the last two years but it really feels like it's all mountain schools and Rville. Again, not taking anything away from anyone but I remember years past when you had us, Shelby, Maiden, Thomasville, Rville, Heritage, and even east (Not sure how many years they were small). But the point is in years past anyone of those teams could have won the West, now it's no secret that the past two years it's really Rville and Heritage.
Yeah, I instantly regretted that waste of energy, but my son was a member of those great teams, that was a factor, too. A couple of Reidsville guys are among my favorite posters, but like I said earlier, you’ve become the poster that kept you triggered in the past, constantly on Shelby’s @&$%, taking shots now. You talked about schedules and who’s weak, losing to such and such, then I realized that Brevard lost to 2AA first round exit, Pisgah, by two touchdowns. Man, please!!!!

Good post, and we’re talking about Heritage now in the western finals or threatening to get there, the same Heritage that was usually an early exit, first or second round, losing to the Wolves or the Lions. Have they ever made it to a state championship, has Brevard made one in the past 15 years? Yet, Franky is in this thread talking this nonsense. Shout out to Heritage, though, a solid program, and Brevard, too. Those guys beat our 05 state championship squad, they were one of the better teams you’d see, that no one rally speaks about, because they didn’t win it all, great team that was.

Heritage beat us in the third round at their place in 09 and eventually went on to play Tarboro in the state championship. I believe the running back on that team had close to 3,000 yards rushing that season. They whipped us up front all night long. As for Brevard, that 05 team was special. Took a last minute once in a lifetime run by CJ Wilson to send us to chapel hill. I respect both of those programs but Brevard isn't really what they used to be. Small 2A in the west this year was down, no doubt about it but you play who's in front of you.
The only loss for the 15 team was by 7 to the 3AA champions who scored 55 in the state championship.Loaded.
Not in 2016 don’t forget the rams beat a top 5 lincolnton team by 21 and held them to 7 points. Shelby and reidsville 2016 would have been good.
Randleman will be a factor in 2a west if they go west
Yeah, that same top 5 Lincolnton team that had 65 points put on them by Maiden but okay. Monroe was hell, though, so was Huss. Athletes galore, no one would have just out athleted those teams. Reidsville vs Shelby vs Monroe vs Huss all would have been good games.

True indeed. But, how did y’all just score 28 on them, when they were given up all those points to lesser teams? I’m just messing with you, it was cold as hell during those games. It’s all good, though, man. You’re one of the best, defend your alma matar, but give props and respect in return. You posted a thread praising both programs on their titles this season, and you and FBCNC were classy in a thread when our streak of titles was ended in 17, congratulating us on our historical run. I shoot my shots, but the respect is there, no doubt.

Y’all provoked the heck out of him in 17, hitting him over the head while he was having lunch, pulling him back in, then you ratted on him in the end, and got him banned, missing 95 percent of last season.

For some reason we kept trying to run the same hitch route to Surratt. I don't know what we were thinking when we had another receiver just as good in single coverage and three good running backs in the backfield. Rville shut us down. Couldn't block em.
The last 15 - 20 years in classes 2A-4AA(not alot of 1As in 704) where did the titles and playoff wins(when another region is matched up with 704) land mostly. Catholic, Mallard Creek, Shelby, Indy, Butler, South Point, Monroe, Harding, Crest, Lincolnton, East Lincoln, Weddington, Myers Park, Providence(early 2000s/late 90s) West Rowan, *I think Ashbrook won one in early 2000s. Football powers are concentrated in that region. 8.5/10 times any school outside the 704 takes an L.

Hopefully 2019 Shelby is small 2a. I think it’s a chance with some of the teams moving down to 2a
I don't wish to interfere with a good pizzing contest but a good source for projecting matchups is the calpreps website and go to the Project a Matchup link.
You can choose any teams from any years. And calpreps like all of the other computer power ratings sites (Simmons, MaxPreps in particular) are more than 80% correct in their picks.
Calpreps says 2016 Shelby would beat 2016 Reidsville by 14 points.
And that 2016 Reidsville would beat 2016 Huss by 7 points and 2016 Monroe by 2 points.
Try matching up your teams against each other for different years and you might be surprised at the results when human bias is removed.
Calpreps had Clinton beating us by 10 in the 2014 State Championship. We won 31-7. Mule, my man, I seriously think you and I could partner up and do just as well as any of those guys. Simmons did aid me on some good parlay card picks, however, shout out to him.

Oh yeah, games are played on the field, but shout out to Calpreps and Simmons both for recognizing the power of that 2016 Shelby squad, one of the greatest teams in the history of Shelby High School Football. 15, too! Memory is not what it used to be but if I remember Clinton could not run on the Shelby defense and the Dark Horses had no passing game at all. And it was total frustration for the Clinton faithful for a long, long afternoon for them.

Breon Pass May Be the most sought after recruit to come through Reidsville. If not already he will Be before he graduates.
