They should have scored their first possession after they fumbled the kick off too, Draughn only scored once on Heritage as well
Hold on to that 49-6 Draughn win for what it's worth this will sort itself out if you get past Starmount and ER and Heritage gets past EW and Murphy to be frank EW doesn't scare me that much.
Why do I want to hold on to that score, I was there and saw with my own eyes. Plus that score isn’t that impressive we played them twice over the last few years and they were much better then and the score was worse than that. You better not sleep on EW and if Murphy running back healthy you all aren’t stopping him. Better out score them

The couple games I watched of Mount Airy their defense still looks elite. There’s only a couple teams I think have a chance to score more than twice against them - so if you’re gonna beat them you better have a defense that’s just as good. Just my opinion.
Just for the record, I do not think we have a state championship contender team. I've thought all year we had a 2nd maybe a 3rd(depending on the seeding) round team. Just for the sake of it, I believe out of MA opponents, EW is the one who had the most success running the ball as far as yardage.
Avery had negative fifty in the first half against Heritage weren't even close to scoring on our starters scored once on our jvs, Elkin and Avery are comparably bad.

You believe what you need to so you think you got a chance. We saw you all first hand in person and you got nothing for the bears and I mean nothing. Your QB try to run like he did against the Bears it is gonna be painful. So you can look for all the comparisons you want but everyone said oh the bears are a one trick pony, well guess what we tried new stuff in regular season so all the posters would think there was a chink in our armour then last week right back to what we did for last 2 years and ran like a well oiled machine. I know the SMC had a down year this year, but Murphy isn't out of this thing yet. I wouldn't look past them on that side of the bracket. When the dawgs roll into town come post-season, you better be prepared. It seems like everyone is just overlooking them.
I think mountain Heritage coach is good and will have a plan and will beat East wilkes by 2 or 3 scores. Teams like ER or MA are going to be lot more difficult to stop.
I kind of want to see a EW-Heritage game more than NR-Heritage. Heritage folks might prefer the rematch for some payback, but I would like to see the Cards get another round.
It will come do to the play up front on both sides of the ball. If WS BIG OL dominate they win. If ES controls the LOS give advantage to the Cards. It is a major contrast in styles. High-scoring affair is to the advantage of WS. Will Whitt and the boys take care of business?
