Still surprises and confuses me why Providence Grove and Eastern Randolph are NOT in the same conference for 2025. Maybe some Randolph County folks can educate and enlighten me about what the heck is happening up that way ...
Just a stab in the dark, but with the teams in Eastern Randolph's conference which include North Moore, Northwood, Carrboro, Jordan Matthews, Southwestern Randolph, and a non football playing school, Uwharrie Charter, Eastern Randolph shouldn't lose a conference football game the next four years, with only Northwood an outside chance for an upset.Still surprises and confuses me why Providence Grove and Eastern Randolph are NOT in the same conference for 2025. pG should probably just drive the extra distant and at least have a chance at some wins lol that school is in shambles from what I hearHowever, Eastern Randolph and Providence Grove are practically next door neighbors, and, PG has to cross the other side of I-73 to visit conference opponents (Trinity, Wheatmore, and those Davidson County 3A teams) ... Part of PG came from parts of ER and Randleman if I recall ...
A fish rots from the head down. But it's been trending down since the old baseball coach retired, the only one in that conference that used to beat up them Tigers over in the roundabouts.pG should probably just drive the extra distant and at least have a chance at some wins lol that school is in shambles from what I hear
Explain the fish rots from the head down for me?A fish rots from the head down. But it's been trending down since the old baseball coach retired, the only one in that conference that used to beat up them Tigers over in the roundabouts.

Now hold on a sec…A fish rots from the head down. But it's been trending down since the old baseball coach retired, the only one in that conference that used to beat up them Tigers over in the roundabouts.
Think, and I have no inside info at all, that the powers that be are intent on sending Eastern Randolph east for any playoffs they are lucky enough to qualify for. Providence Grove appears to be destined to head west. From the outside looking in, this doesn’t make sense unless you look at it geographically. ER is 8 miles from the Chatham County line, which is in the current alignment, the dividing line. PG is between 15-20 miles. Could they have sent PG east? Yes sir I think so myself, especially when both Southwestern Randolph and the Asheboro charter appear to be going that way.Still surprises and confuses me why Providence Grove and Eastern Randolph are NOT in the same conference for 2025.
