Predict the Playoffs: Who Takes the Title

We certainly did. A 40yd td on the second play, a blocked punt recovered at the 1, a bad snap recovered in the end zone, and a fumble recovered at the ten, and its 0-26 midway thru the 1st. We were done playing at that point and let backups get work most of the second half. They scored 53pts. Then the next week, they only scored 12 pts vs Beddingfield and lost. Two weeks later, we scored 42pts on that same Beddingfield defense in victory. What does that mean? I don't know. What I do know is we have a great chance to win this thing. A hand full of teams do. Not just one.

Swe98 I'll repeat what I said the other day I know most Shelby posters and I don't recall seeing anyone of us saying we will win this whole thing without w doubt .... We know we have a shot and all believe we have a great chance to make the game but everyone else does too! Now there are a bunch and I mean a bunch of posters saying we will definitely win it!!! I challenge you to find one post a Shelby poster saying we win this " no doubt" .... If you do I'll say I'm wrong ..: if we lose in the playoffs Shelby will take a beating on the boards not because of what we as Shelby posters have said but what folks that aren't Shelby posters have said about our chances ...

I've kept up with SWE through your posts for a while even back to the wishbone you ran a few years ago ... Always enjoy reading your game thoughts !!!

I don't think I have ever said "Shelby posters have said....." I say "Everybody says." And even u just admitted that a great majority of posters say that. And whenever I say they, I'm referring to those that say things about them up here, whether they are supporters and fans, opponents that have played them, or just people that know about their history in general. I actually thought it was pretty clear that I wasn't directing any opinions towards anyone in particular. If I did say that Shelby posters said something, it was most likely in reference to what a Shelby poster said. But take it easy....SWE'98 isn't trying to get on anyone's bad side. It's just that when everyone talks about how one team has a cakewalk to the state championship even if it included all of the state's college and pro teams, then you start to root against them. At least I do. But don't take it personally. There are other teams I root against too. And I'm certain that some people here root against SWE. It's all good. It's just a game that none of us here are even playing. Here's to seeing Shelby in the 'ship, so that I can see the show for myself. Because SWE plans on being there! And that wishbone still carries us. And kills us, if a team has figured it out.
