Yea he was thrown off the team for throwing a can off the bus coming back from a track meet if I'm not mistaken. Which in comparison to how many chances were given to #10 last year it sort of pales in comparison don't u think? You forget I know too much about your program.
I don't understand the point of the bolded comment. Never said I had issue with any poll. I was just addressing a comment that I thought was a beyond exaggeration.

As long as we make sure one set of standards is in place for Crest and then Shelby has no standards. Kinda like Shelby's history being built on the backs of the county's best but then they try to get all holy about guys transferring into Crest.

Who on the Crest team was made to only sit out one game...a first round playoff game against a pathetic team.....then return the next week and what was his infraction?

Yeah that was a moral victory....as a little 2A team hung with the overall best team in the state for an entire game. Gave up 3 big plays that made the difference. Watched as a new era of Cleveland County football was ushered in....that's what scares you my friend....a new era....

Exsqueeze me? I do believe it was the very next year that little 2A Shelby beat those mighty nationally ranked chargers on their way to a State Championship game after which that coach retired. No one has ever been "run out of" Shelby my friend. They don't have to be.
I was referring to the 2004 coach not Taylor. So Shelby has been 2A for a while? I hadn't heard that before.
I seem to remember that year. Your boy was caught with a loaded handgun and a bag of pot. The Crest player was caught driving a drunk girl home from a party after consuming a couple beers. I dont remember the exact charge against him but it was something like underage drinking and driving while consuming.. Seems to me the penalties both received were just. BIG difference between carrying a loaded weapon and drugs vs driving after a couple beers.
As usual your wrong on your facts. He was kicked off in 96 during the season and was given an opportunity to play again in 97. Your little incident happened and he wasn't kicked off and played. Some in your little fan base begged that player you were throwing off on to come over there, but he wouldn't. In 97 he embarrassed your little 5 star LB and the rest his history.

Seem to recall he wanted to go over to Crest so he could play in a baseball tournament because Shelby coach wouldn't let him. Real shame too. Guy saw an opportunity at greener pastures and PTB didn't let it happen.

Yes we can, that Shelby coach you are referring to wasn't run out of the program and I don't call going 15-1 and then retiring struggling for a few years. In fact the next coach won a state title the very next year and coached another 12 or so years and won 2 more state titles and then retired. So who are you implying was run out of the program.

The coach that seemed to be a regular target on postgame radio as Shelby started posting their 8-5 seasons and running that same boring offense.

We did post that record several years in a row and there was some complaining. However that coach went on to lead Shelby to 4 straight championship game appearances winning two of them. In his last year of coaching before retiring he lead Shelby to the state semifinals losing to Salisbury. He wasn't run out of the program.
Neither, Crest JV's always seem to lose to Ashbrook JV. Then the Ashbrook varsity coaches try to reinvent the wheel and continue to lose to the Crest varsity. Hard to figure.
