I think the potential at Clinton this yr is unlimited. Yal are one of the 4-5 teams that could win it, imo
@Wizard of the East i think you made a good point about who have any of these teams played that were really good. I can tell you that we haven’t played any real good teams. We have played a few decent teams (Holmes,Rose,Hertford County,Currituck) but no one the caliber of Salisbury or West Craven. Things will be interesting this Friday in Clinton and then next week things will start to heat up for most.
Lol dude Ledford is not even a top 15 team in 3a. Ledford is a below average 3a school that destroyed Clinton. Stop talking like that was a good lose. That was a TERRIBLE loss at home. Smh

I do believe a kicker can make a difference especially in the high school , but if he out kicks his coverage against whiteville and allows that returner to pick his lane it’s gonna be a long long night.
Whiteville is good, I believe they will beat Clinton, WRH and East Dublin. Not saying it will be easy but I think they are better than all 3 teams. Playing such a weak schedule will hurt but they are a fine tuned machine and any team that beats them will have to have great execution along with speed, size and strength. That being said, anyone that can pass is gonna cause some trouble because Whiteville’s strength isn’t based around the passing game on offense or defense.
Clinton beat Fairmont 56-6, I believe it was running clock in the 2nd halfAll I can say it St Paul’s must have taken the night off. There is no comparison between Fairmont and St Paul’s

@olddog77 you been doing ok? I talk to John on the regular and I was talking with Mr Merle but I heard he wasn’t feeling well. I think you’ll be surprised at how good WC is. As a die hard NE fan I wouldn’t want to face them. Their defensive line looks just like ours and they have two D1 recruits in #53 and #22.

Wallace defends the run well, it's the passing that they have a problem with. By Wallace losing to ED and played hard by JK, should have refocused them. I expect Wallace and Clinton to meet in the third round at the dog pound
