Coach Ollis is back which makes this much more interesting!! He seemed to always have success against our little sister west of Canton.
Please stop with the "larger opponent" non sense...pisgah has a larger enrollment..sounds clear to me you lost to a better team..that happens in athletics..just like Pisgah losing to South point or franklin losing to Shelby..both lost to better teams and eventual state champs..I witnessed a valiant fight by our Bears this past Friday night with (as far I know) no injuries against a larger opponent. We came up short in points but not in heart and determination. Polk's schedule so far has been mediocre at best which reflects their undefeated record. It's a proven fact that one cant scientifically predict an outcome by previous wins or losses but one can get a feel of the talent and compare. Polk beat RS Central and so did we BUT Polk probably has never played a team like we did last week. I think we will come out stronger, smarter, and more determined than Polk and as a result, I'm confident that we will send them home with their first L on the season. Even though Polk may make a good showing this week, they wont be able to overcome the Black Bears. I'm calling it 28-14. Pisgah will take this one.

Lol how'd y'all fair against Murphy..ill give you Pisgah fans credit y'all die hard and blead black and red and I respect the commitment that y'all have ..we will have plenty of time to discuss franklin Pisgah...I think he was talking about their size up front. At least we are playing two undefeated teams in a row while your Panthers are playing Owen and Carolina Wildcats.Talk about a tough schedule.

How have you faired against franklin last 8 years...2-6 If you forgot and this year will make 2-7You guys beat Murphy last year and how did you fair against my Bears?
That's exactly what I was talking about PB. Many of those guys could have dressed out for Bama. I smell a Franklin fan in our midst so I'm gonna go ahead and say this. If Franklin's coach had the gonads to book a team at that level, they would would have to add a digit to the scoreboard to contain the butt whooping Franklin would receive.I think he was talking about their size up front. At least we are playing two undefeated teams in a row while your Panthers are playing Owen and Carolina Wildcats.Talk about a tough schedule.
All the Pisgah franklin talk is pointless til we meet at memorial stadium in canton..actually hope both teams are undefeated in conf PLAYTh

Congrats you play a good non conf schedule..guess Madison and north buncombe weren't available..but enka is always loaded w talent and speed..lolWow. Franklin has 0-4 Owen up next, and the charter school powerhouse, the Carolina Wildcats following. The Wildcats are dominating the Independent Athletic League with a mind blowing 1-4 record.
Oh and RS central was loaded to I guessWow. Franklin has 0-4 Owen up next, and the charter school powerhouse, the Carolina Wildcats following. The Wildcats are dominating the Independent Athletic League with a mind blowing 1-4 record.

Actually just found out franklin reached out to Polk county along with every OTHER mountian school looking for games...guess Polk figured winning would be easier against Pisgah..in reality the truth is franklin is a very long drive for many schools and I know finding games isn't easy for Pisgah because other teams know a non conference game vs Pisgah (or Franklin) is probably a loss....the new six team league left both schools looking for 6 non conf games..hell I'm sure franklin tried playing tuscola but tuscola musta figured swain and smoky easier options...my hope is Pisgah and franklin enter week 11 both perfect in conference play and win or lose I hope we meet again in 3rd round of playoffsLet's not forget about Swain and Rabun Gap. Surprised Franklin didn't schedule Hayesville, Andrews, and Rosman, too.
Yes I heard the exact same thing..i feel 99% sure franklin reached out to both Mitchell and heritage and I feel sure Pisgah would gladly play eitherYou guys beat Murphy last year and how did you fair against my Bears?
Listened to coach Chappell on the radio show.He said that Pisgah and Franklin had both tried to schedule those two tough team in the WHC conference Mountain Heritage and Mitchell they refused.

Lol I'd sure play swain or smoky and franklin travels very wellhell I'm sure franklin tried playing tuscola but tuscola musta figured swain and smoky easier options..
Franklin and Tuscola did scrimmage right off the bat. I am not as sure as you are that the "easier option" idea is valid, but I will check on that. I am more persuaded that THS had an opening for only TWO available non-conference dates after getting thrown into that dreadful 9 team league. They cant play everybody, and Swain is a good draw both places, and competitive at the very least most years. (this year's 21-14 result is a good example and they will win their share against most anybody in WNC) Smoky Mt is a traditional rival just as much or more so as Franklin and CLOSER. The gate is comparable, so.....What would YOU do under those circumstances? At any rate it is my guess their schedule was not compatible with Franklin's given the limitations.
Yes I heard the exact same thing..i feel 99% sure franklin reached out to both Mitchell and heritage and I feel sure Pisgah would gladly play either
I think the home vs away had a lot to do with Mitchell and Mountain heritage not ending up on the schedules. Mitchell had to come up with 5 new non conference opponents, and they all cant be away games... Id like to see Pisgah and Franklin make their way onto Mitchell's schedule in the future.
If we played Mountain Heritage like we played Murphy .Your right.Do you really believe mtn heritage is afraid of playing pisgah lol. I watch pisgah play murphy, heritage would destroy them. You pisgah guys need to face the truth pisgah is not very good.
Yes, I am telling you (not that I should have to) that across the entire athletic spectrum the WMAC is in fact harder to win across the board. It aint just about football.Mule,
So you're telling me the WMAC is harder than the M6? Negative. Tuscola will finish 2nd in that Conference, unless Asheville can stop their O. Which I think is unlikely.
Just go back into hiding mule.
OK, if you want to stick to football we can do that too. For the record, you are no Jimmy the Greek...You have NO idea where Tuscola will finish in this league, any more than I do. But what I DO know is given all the lobbying PHS did to stay in 2A and out of the WMAC when the realignments were being discussed I doubt I many Pisgah fans would be willing to change places with THS in terms of conference preference. if any at all. How's that?Well, since this is a FOOTBALL message board, then I think I'll go out on a limb and say yeah this is actually just about football...
Pisgah actually fell under the 2A guidelines at the start, so no lobbying was needed. THS was the one that begged and pleaded over and over to get a waiver to drop down to 2A. As of now, I don't see THS winning a conference championship in a major sport any time soon. Golf and swimming maybe, that's about it.OK, if you want to stick to football we can do that too. Actually franklin was absolutely willing to travel to Mitchell no doubt on that and Mitchell flat refused..you may wanna see franklin on Mitchell's schedule..i assure your coach wants no such thing...so as usual you will get BLOWN out by heritage then lose to murphy in 1aI think the home vs away had a lot to do with Mitchell and Mountain heritage not ending up on the schedules. We scrimmaged Mountain Heritage this past summer. Did well I thought.Yes I heard the exact same thing..i feel 99% sure franklin reached out to both Mitchell and heritage and I feel sure Pisgah would gladly play either
