Derrick Sharpe named head football coach at Parkland
The Mustangs went 1-24 in Derek Bryant's three seasons as head coach.

Good luck to Coach Sharpe in getting Parkland back to being competitive. He has a very high mountain to climb. Though, it is good that he has been coaching in Forsyth Co. in one capacity or another the last several years. So he knows the environment and what he is getting into. Both he and the new coach at RJ Reynolds have a lot of work to do with getting their squads more competitive against the likes of E. Forsyth, W. Forsyth, Tabor, Reagan and Davie Co. The first step would have to be getting more kids out for football and beefing up the depth and the numbers up.
