On the Outside Looking In !!

I find myself with no one to root for at this point in the Playoffs in Missouri or NC. My local team went out in the second round of District Play in tournament. And of course my NC team is out also. I am hoping for a couple local teams here in Missouri to advance this Friday and also All ECC teams still in, along with Northeastern, Clinton. I dont think, and know some wont as they play each other. I wont pick winners here or there, just enjoy the threads. Wont comment on any threads. I understand the importance to the fans of all teams when it comes to your thoughts. I will read the posts and look for results Friday Night. Just remember all of you will Pay next year

Thanks guys, but I'll leave the posting about teams to their posters. A LOT of great matchups Friday. I also like Holmes, West Craven, Whiteville, and St. Pauls. Wouldnt hurt my feelings if any of them advanced. A GREAT field for the East Rep in the title game. So I've kind of have my rear covered no matter who wins..

Thank you Mr. Shelby Lion. I always enjoyed the Shelby threads on upcoming games. Yourself and other Shelby posters are a great bunch. Probably the best game I ever saw ( of my team) was against the Great Shelby Program at the State Championship game (which we won ..... LOL)

LOL Lincolnton, never thought of that. I checked the playoff schedule and see East Lincoln is playing the #2 3A team, Statesville. I would think you will be a happy camper Friday Night ... I'll keep tabs on that game and congratulate you on your reverse Fanship ......

SWO-#1, "Reverse Fanship", that's a great name for it. Reverse Fanship ! East Lincoln is playing Statesville this Friday. They're both members of the Western Foothills conference. The Greyhounds, that's Statesville, beat them in regular season 23-6, but in fairness, The Mustangs, that's East Lincoln were without their starting quarterback who was injured a couple of weeks earlier in the Lincolnton game.

A personal cheer I made special for this game which includes some of the old "Barbershop Yell"... Nick 'em on the chin and scrape 'em on the jaw, shave 'em, shave 'em raw raw raw-GO STATESVILLE ! Cheer for 'em gents and cheer for 'em ladies, chase 'em, chase 'em plumb to Hades ("Some call it hell, I call it Hades". Quote from Karl Childers, East Lincoln valedictorian class of 1962) !👽

Sportsnut, if you were around them in an official capacity or even otherwise, I do hope they were good to you. I'm not too quick to say it but most of them from that side aren't half bad; well maybe that's over stating it, but they're tolerable.
From your posts I've gathered that you follow sports in the Triad area. I don't know which is your team but I wish them well, especially if they're still playing.
I was hoping I could slip this post in without you noticing. I've been prodding the Mustangs pretty often, lately, and my language has been a bit spicy, too. I worry about putting you on the spot with some of my quips. I appreciate you not being too heavy handed and your sense of fairness, and I enjoy reading and posting on NC Preps so I've decided to tone it down some before you have to point it out to me.

My team is from Western Forsyth county and got beat last Friday. I know you do not want to hear this, but EL coach in my encounters with him was top shelf last week.

If it's not in the 30's and snowing with a 20+ mph wind, you are playing whimpy football. Thats what it is here in Mo. for our playoff games tonight. I was going to a class #1 school about 25 miles up the road but I dont think so now. The local class #4 school is away about 2 hr drive, was never an option. Its the rut for deer and they are out in force. My grand daughter got one this morning, or I should say one got her. She is ok dont know how bad the car is. So I'll just stay here in SWO#1 Central and check on games here and there tonight. Was splitting fire wood most of the day and about 2:45 I felt the temp DROP and wind picked up. I picked up my mess and headed for the house, thats when I noticed the flakes.

Game night meal is Spaghetti and Meat balls with salad and garlic toast and Ice Tea

It did stop snowing (here anyway) and the wind died down but still 🥶 🥶 . Going down to the 20s tonight. Hope you have a game or two you are interested in.

First off congrats to Lincolnton On East Lincolns loss.

Second , WRH had a easier time than I thought, they are looking strong.

Third JK/Whiteville went as I expected

Forth, I figured Clinton/ED would be the best game of the ECC teams and I was right.

Congrats to the winners and See ya next year to the losers.

And lastly both local teams went down last night for the playin spots in Mo playoffs. The class #4 team got the breaks beat off and the Class #1 lost a low scoring, close def. battle.

Going to get a roll around tool cart for my equipment shed today. They are 15% off thru tomorrow. Might split some more fire wood.
