Northeastern VS Kinston Round 1

Kinston apparently has a good offense and until the other night they hadn’t given up a point all season, now they’ve given up 50. NE by as many as they want IMO.
NE might have their hands full. We shall see what happens when they play a team with a pulse. Havelock put 50 on NE, ne hasn't played anyone since.
I find myself agreeing with you more and more. I saw Kinston as our biggest threat aside from Reidsville. I have concerns we can't defend the pass. I watched highlights of their game vs Washington and they looked really good throwing it. This will be a very tough game for us. I did hear our kicker is back so that's should help with field position etc
Now that couldn't be further from the truth. I've seen every Clinton game to date.

I hate posting my honest thoughts because I've made some friends at Clinton. 34 and I talked for a while and he knows his stuff. I myself just go a lot on my loyalty to my Eagles. I don't care who we line up against I will never tell anyone up here I think we can't win. If I do say that then I'm just screwing with other posters. You said last year that we'd get curb stomped by SWE and then surely by Clinton. Those games weren't even close. Northeastern plays it's best on the road for some reason and it's going to take a team that loves to throw to beat us. Our weakness is defending the pass. That QB at Clinton will have his hands full with Fletcher,Quasi, Freshwater,and Lister chasing him. All those guys are over 6' and Freshwater and Fletcher are fast.Northeastern defense is really good, When we played Edenton,Freshwater and Quasi didn't play nor did our starting running back. Clinton will have to slow us down and their QB will have to try and get some big pass plays in to win. I don't see it happening but I also didn't see us losing to Havelock. I like Northeastern by 3 tds if we were to meet up. I like Northeastern by 1 td Friday night against Kinston. That's my honest thoughts

91 is my favorite poster up here because for as much bs that he spews he actually does know quite a bit. I know he's a NE hater but every now and then he'll say something positive about our program. I'm looking forward to a possible eastern championship matchup against them
This will be the best matchup in 2a East imo. Both of these teams have high powered offenses and I think it's going to be a shootout. I like NE by 6-10 because I think our defense anchored by All American Kaveon Freshwater is just to much for most teams. Now with the return of Quasi we are even more dangerous. This game is going to be exciting!!

The Kinston QB can sling it but a lot of his passes get completed because of poor defense. I think NE will take this too.

I don't think your team is the underdog. Clinton could've very easily lost their last two games. I was at the last Clinton game, Wrh was rolling until the weather delay and the previous game vs E Duplin, Duplin went for two and the win instead of kicking the pat to tie and play overtime. I have no dog in the fight in your game, I just know two or three guys up here from Clinton. They were very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my trip there.
To all #2 ranked Clinton posters, stay off this thread, don't even come over here trolling. If your season doesn't end this Friday, it will definitely come to an end next Friday. That you can Lock Up!!
At this point NE could play for the 4aa title and win via a blowout. I hope someone sticks it to NE. Goober will disappear again like he has the last 3 years.

@thekidd12 lets start a side conversation here. So how is ER's defense? Would you say its strength is the defensive front or secondary?
I just wish my southwest edgecombe guys can get respected like Northeastern. Name me 3 teams in all 2a that has been to 6 eastern finals, 3 state championship games in which 2 championship games were the last two years? Kinston's air raid vs Biggie and NE air attack. This will be an exciting game. No boring smash mouth run oriented teams playing in Elizabeth City Friday night.
Front is kind of young. Secondary has the athletes so I would say secondary. Linebackers aren’t huge but are quick...wait ok I’ll copy and paste on other thread.
