North traveled to Bishop and suffered itsi first loss of the season. Both teams went toe to toe. Tie game at the half. Bishop takes a 15 point lead in the third quarter. North battles back and takes lead in the fourth quarter 57 to 56. Then Bishop #11 hits some big three pointers. Bishop hits it's free throws and defeats North 79 to 67. The score does not reflect how great a game this was. Two great 1a schools going at it tonight. Looking forward to seeing these two play again.

Yes you are right and one having to sit out till conference play begins next year. Prep and Bishop are not normal 1a schools. To bad that schools like North are in conferences with these type schools. NCHSAA should do something but won't. Sad to see Prep winning conference, tournament and competing for the state championship every year in 1a.
My guess is proximity and tradition. It isn't like they've just started scheduling other Christian schools this year. Looking back at their schedules on Maxpreps and it seems they have played several of those schools year in and year out for a while.
