This could be a really good one. I will say tve score will be around 35-28 either way. Any thoughts?

I think the winning team might need to score 40+ to win. Both teams defenses struggled some round 1.
East Wilkes has an either or team all year. Sometimes like a State Champion contender, sometimes not.
If the right East team shows up they shouldn't have any trouble. If the other one shows up they might lose. East can field two very different teams. It's anyone's guess as to which one shows up lol
Not sure why people say what they say about EW. EW is what you see is what you get. They are teenagers. EW is a team that is susceptible to the big play! If you have a super solid line then you may give EW fits for an entire game. If your line is mediocre then you will struggle with EW. EW can and will come at you in waves on offense. The Offense is very deceptive and they hide the ball well. It is not a delicate or intricate offense. But one that is rather hard to prepare for and is very physical as Qb#10 rb#21 fb#40 run extremely hard and don't mind the contact AT ALL! With that being said their defense is always in a bend but don’t break mode. Their special teams play especially ko teams are absolutely horrendous, and may lose them a game if the offense and defense have lackluster results.
Yeah, which one is he talking about? Probably #3 if I had to guess. Could be #21 or #10.

Depends how good NR run defense is. Our kickoff team struggled terribly giving up 2 tds. Then we continued to struggle with defending the pass as we have all year. It's clear that NR loves to throw it. If we can run the ball on them and eat up the clock this game could come down to the wire.
EW has to decide on defense what their game-plan is going to be. You either have to have a great pass rush ie; (Mt Airy the way their ends crash and put pressure on the Qb) or have great coverage. You can’t let the QB have all day to throw it and have bummy coverage as well. It’s has to be one or the other. A great rush produces errant throws and duress for the QB. But no rush and crappy coverage= Db’s and corners getting picked apart all night and not squaring up to make the tackle! EW has a great Offense. But it shouldn’t have to score 50 pts a game to make up for egregious lapses on defense! It’s time to realize the old cliché. “ Offense wins games, Defense wins championships!” Good luck there are great pieces on this team.
Give a decent qb time and he will look like Joe Namath.
I do think#53 for EW really gets after it on defense.. He kinda sticks out as far being one of those i see that is always close and on the “ chase” for the QB. There are Great coaches and leaders and the team is young and have played good. Just keep focusing on pass coverage ko coverage and who knows what may happen…
A good pass rush can help compensate for shaky coverage. Get pressure, force QB to use legs or make bad decisions.
When you force the Qb to use his legs..the idea is for the others to step up and make the tackle. Good luck Cardinals!
Forest Hills played North Rowan early in the season winning (33-8). Would have been worse if FH hadn't fumbled on the one yard line going in for a TD and another turnover down in the red zone (Int) They did hang with us in the first quarter but we gradually pulled away after that. They didn't score until the 4th Quarter. They do have speed and some decent size. I remember them having one bruising back who was more of the size of a big linebacker than a RB. He was hard to get down at times. The QB will run also and he's quick if it's the same QB we saw. We pretty much shut down their passing game (90 yards total) so it was mostly a running game for them by the QB and the big back. (189 yards rushing)

I feel I am more of a prognosticator. It was a joke. All of us old people see these kids and they all look fast. It took only 15 minutes to wind you up. I would say job well done.
I wouldn't be suprised if they have more fans than North Rowan. I watch them play Mountain Heritage a year ago. I wasn't impressed with the number of fans on North Rowan Homeside. It was a great game North Rowan won 47-39

But yes we typically travel very well. Last year at Mitchell wasn't so well but I think the weather had some issues with that. 2 years ago traveled well to Murphy too. I'm expecting a decent crowd but afraid the colder temps may keep several from coming.
