Just wondering what was going on in this game since its revenge on the wolves minds an basically a cross town rival
Man!!! North just stink that bad this year?? Read bout em' in the Lincoln times with J Mo an decent line thought this was supposivly their year62-8. L-town!!
Later!
Ha! L-town looks good. Jordan Easter had a great night. NL has a lot of work to do. That's all I'm going to say.
Later!
Got hurt didn't play the second half. Not that really mattered. It was 41-0 at the half. L-town came to play and it showed.
Later!
Much as I hate to say it, it's looking like a goose egg season. I hope that is not the case but other than North Iredell the season is only a steeper uphill climb for NL.
Was somewhat impressed with Coach Gibson and staff. They had the kids prepared. On to next week. South Point won't be easy. Good luck to North as they take on the Rebels.

There goes Lincolnton using them big words again "natty" ..........I like thatNorth Lincoln had some natty uniforms. They looked like the Furman Paladins.

Does North have any kind of strengths or is it looking like too much talent lost to graduation/gonna be a long season??
Lincolntimes had pretty high hopes for this years team from what I read
Burke,
NL lost 20 seniors off a non-playoff team (and in that group of seniors was a majority of the athletic speed kids, including my own). They still have nice size but they have no depth and cannot afford to lose 1st string players. They only had around 60 kids come out for football. Defenses will stack the box to stop J-Mo (and whatever other big back they throw in there) and there isn't much of a passing game. I will say they didn't have all their athletes on the field Friday night as Stevie Jackson (Richard's little brother) only punted due to injury recovery but I really do not believe he would have made up a 54 point difference. All in all, I look for a sub-500 year due to the teams remaining on their schedule. I'm just glad I no longer have a dog in the fight at NL (the whole athletic program there is a dumpster fire!)
Later!
Appreciate the input. I figured with a score like that it may be a disappointing season. I had a dog out of the fight years ago for North but I like to see them do well if they ever do well. If I'm not mistaken someone said look for them to be competitive in 2017, 2018ish cause of some great athletes coming up from the middle school so we'll see how that pans out if the world hadn't ended yet.
Only teams around here I see making any kind of playoff hype is Lincolnton, East, maybe Mooresville, an of course Freedom if they learn how to make the most out of Alabama recruite Emmons. After the Shelby game they're a one a done come playoff time
No rotating of the QBs. The sophomore Cordale (sp) Littlejohn is the starter. Easter is now a wingback in the option\veer offense and a tailback in the 2 back shotgun no huddle\spread sets. Easter is also the unsung leader of the team. He sets the tone on defense at his multiple positions he plays. Ltown still has the big Dameron kid at the other running back. The difference this year is a wide range of speed! This team reminds me of the CJ Wilson era of teams. Ltown didn't need to throw the ball against NL as they pretty much had their way with them. Which surprised me because NL had a definite size advantage. But new head coach Ledford Gibson and staff had the kids ready to play. This week will be a very good measuring stick for them.L-Town, Did y'all rotate QB's again? And are y'all still running that veer type formation? Looking forward to seeing how well you do with the red-bone Friday.
We may meet up down the road. Good luck Friday, it should be close. No rotating of the QBs. The sophomore Cordale (sp) Littlejohn is the starter. Big strong an slow doesn't win a lot of games. I hope they salvage as much season as possible an at least pull something together to beat West, West Iredell, an North Iredell. Even those games are questionable.

Don't really know. I've not watched any practices (like previously stated I no longer have a dog in the fight) and I know the kid everyone was expecting to be the QB of the future transferred out of county so I expect there isn't a whole lot there either.JV for North looking any better?
LHSWolves, The first time I ever heard "natty" was in the sixth grade, it was photo day and my Mother made me wear a necktie. This particular tie was red and had a gold likeness of the Eiffel tower on it. We went to the library for our picture to be taken and the photographer said "that's a natty looking tie".
The entire day, my cousin bugged me about my tie. He asked me why my tie had an oil well on it, you know, an oil derrick. I told him it was the Eiffel tower over in Paris.
The next day when I came to class there was an anonymous note on my desk (like I didn't know it was from him) that read "only a jackass would wear a tie with the Eiffel tower on it", but he spelled Eiffel "eye full".
He reads these message boards. I ought to put his name on here for sitting back there laughing like a hyena at my natty necktie. You'd probably know him, but since that's been over a half century ago I'll let him slide.
