Well I expected this would be a possibility but didn't figure it for round one.

OG obviously has a tremendous running game with Shewcow and other players can hurt you when you focus on him too much. The OG defense is not as good as Ledford or Salisbury but is definitely up there in the conference. They had trouble with NDs passing game the first time, will that continue?

North has a tremendous offense with a variety of weapons but have a tendency to beat themselves at times. The D has been pretty average and good teams usually score at least three TD.

OG is obviously the favorite but if North won I honestly wouldn't consider it an upset. The first game was that equal. Either team could have won and I expect the same again.

ND is playing with house money in a sense. They have the opportunity to spoil OG's season, and expectations are low for them after their disappointing season. I agree that they are still dangerous and the margin between the two teams is fairly thin.

And this would be a lot better as a 3rd round matchup than 1st.

Key for North is not committing multiple turnovers and letting special teams really make a difference.

ND may be playing with house $ but I feel confident that no one is overlooking them. Quite the opposite - the first contest was a hard-earned victory - the second time around, in a huge rivalry game, in the playoffs - it’s anyone’s game. I think that OG is capable of winning again but those ancillary factors will make this one close.

Nothing like a potential CCC Conference Tournament in football - there must be someone sitting in the NCHSAA offices just looking to make things interesting.

I think its a toss up game. I think both feel pressure to win I'm sure. North losing to OG the first time humbled them some what. OG doesn't want to win the conference then lose the first round game. North doesn't want to lose to the new kid on the block twice in same year. I hope North wins due to OG fans (haha), but i'm going to say OG does it again and beats North. 28-21

Going with OG by a touchdown or less. Honestly, I’m not sure OG is better, but home field and coaching make the difference.

ND’s passing game will be much different against OG this time since Moore got hurt late in the game at OG. North’s offense has not been good against tough defenses. But I hope like heck they explode this game and best OG. Definitely have to cut down on the turnovers.

I agree the passing game is different. Five wides was the norm in the first game, Jenkins is more likely to tuck and run than Moore was and for good reason. Should be a good game.

I think it has been more about lack of execution than anything. The offense moves the ball but has a tendency to have ill timed dropped passes and turnovers. That has been the story all year and usually doesn't change in just a week...

Ow wow. I need my eyes checked. ND touchdown as I get in on a long pass to Everhart. 23-0 Knights with 3:33 left in the half!

Unexpected to say the least.

North Davidson with a quick TD run after OG 3 and out. Indint think he got touched. 30-0 ND with 10:14 left in the 3rd.

Go look at my predictions. I called OG to be the first high seed to fall on their face and predicted North to win this one. OG is simply way too predictable on offense and their defense struggles to contain athletes on the edge. I saw this coming when they played a mediocre at best Ledford team a few weeks back and squeaked out an OT win. What OG has done in their 2nd year of varsity play is impressive, but they are probability the weakest 1 loss team I’ve seen in a long, long time coming into the playoffs.

ND 3 and out after two holding calls. OG ball after punt at their own 31 after a personal foul.
