Just wondering...heard that Newton Conover will be sending video of ref calling timeout after winning kick goes through for them at end of their game Friday night...any truth to this because it affects playoff implications...wasnt there but heard fans on both sides say it was a phantom time out call...

No idea.... But I highly doubt the NCHSAA would be willing to overturn anything like that...
Absolutely will not change / overturn the outcome of the game.
Coach Byrne was running on the field calling a timeout before the ball was snapped. Not a phantom call.
They also had video sent in for Kinston Reidsville game in semis several years back. Hail Mary clearly bounced 3 feet high off ground. Kinston grabbed ball. No excitement then 1 ref signal TD while others said no. They ruled a TD. Nchsaa did nothing. Said oh well.

This first attempt would’ve won the game for the Red Devils in regulation but a Maiden timeout wiped it out it sounds like, and Newton must be claiming that Maiden didn’t get it called in time. They went on to lose in double overtime on a 2 point conversion. Tough loss for the Red Devils.

I am pretty good friends with the one over this districts referees and he said the outcome can't be changed...fans got butthurt but until Newton gets out of that 3-4 defense I can see East Lincoln putting some big points up on them next week....
Pisgah did that in 2016 in play-off game .On a trick play, that ref said was illegal and sent a picture of a Pisgah played laying in the endzone with the ball that was ruled a fumble by Refs. They never changed either call and even called a local reporter threating to sue him for questing both calls.

In 2009 Monroe got knocked out of the playoffs and had video evidence that a TD pass was complete that was ruled incomplete. The ref acknowledged he made the wrong call after the fact but it didn't change anything.

If the NFL wont overturn what happened in the NFC finals last year with replay available, high school football ain't gonna change.

I would venture to say that no game outcome has ever been changed due to a video being sent in..
I remember that game...I did feel sorry for Monroe though....it was clearly a catch in the endzone for a td that would have sealed the game up for them...
The video was shown that night on at the time Time Warner cable, and be reassured that there is copies of the whole game in locker room at community Stadium. And anyone in the stadium that night knows what happened, regardless of what team you was on.

If this video could ever actually be provided I would openly say I was wrong. Until then I’m calling it how I see it. It’s just saltiness. In 2011 it was a problem with the clock, as time goes by there is now a video that was turned in, but no one could ever provide it
I agree. Newton-Conover needs to be thinking about their game this week against East Lincoln instead of complaining about last week's call.
All the NCHSAA will do is send a sorry letter like they did to us when we were screwed at Bunn in the 2AA eastern championship back in 2015
