I see where the NCHSAA is going to pay for schools catastrophic insurance and suspend endowment games indefinitely. I guess going in front of GA rattles their cage.

And no more masks required outside as of Friday at 5. Also if you are an athlete and you have been exposed to COVID you don’t have to quarantine unless you are showing symptoms.

The goal of the endowment fund as told to me by Charlie Adams was to generate enough income so that catastrophic insurance would never stop schools from playing sports, especially football, due to the cost, and to ensure there was never an overall pay to play across the state.

They need to come off the pocket with some funds due to the circumstances but not being somewhat conservative will bite the schools in the future.

Most stadiums aren't full except for big games anyway.

With 41 million dollars in the bank I would say the NCHSAA can and should do a lot more than this little peace offering. They have never given the money to the schools the way they should have and it's a disgrace. There are some folks with some high paying cake jobs up there that need to be brought down a notch or two and I for one hope the general assembly will see to it that this happens and soon.
