I don't actually think its' open. They promoted the DC.
Things have kind of fallen off the wayside since Chadwick left. Don't understand why they did not give the job permanently to the interim coach after the spring Covid season.

James is a Dean of Students at Myers Park and has been an assistant coach there since 2021. He was the team’s defensive coordinator last season and has previously worked as an assistant coach at Charlotte Latin, Porter Ridge and Independence High Schools.
Myers Park has the largest student population in NC. 3500+ Instead of recruiting the halls, they recruited a future 1st round draft pick from Hough. (Drake Maye) They went to California, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and Charlotte Schools to recruit, and still couldn't get it done. It's a very difficult task to bounce back and establish a culture when the majority of your top players came from 2416 miles away. What kids would want to buy into that program, when they're recruiting kids to replace you from out of State. Recruits lived in 3 different houses. They bet the entire bank.

After Chadwick left should have given the job to interim coach, Mark Harman.
McManus’ has the resume and big time success as an OC. Do not know the reason but heard parental complaints. You would think the admin would figure out not to let parents run the program.
School is totally dysfunctional and it goes back years.
