Great game Bareman, felt like the starmount game to me. Bears having multiple times to put it out of reach. Gotta love how this team finds away to win, they wasn’t losing, that offensive line went to work and smith was a man amongst boys. Refs sucked for both sides. Gosnell locked Greene down all night but how bout Greg Greene, kid was a beast on D. 1 was exposed but I imagine the coaching staff will fix that. I think the things I get from this one are as follows: these two teams needed this game , the atmosphere, the rivalry before the playoffs as conference play is weak, east is a top 5 team , ain’t nobody looking forward to seeing the cards in there parking lot in November, people forget how balanced the Bears are, Gosnell locked Greene down but in doing so opened up smith and the run game, but with that being said when east shut the run down they started hitting Greene on those short 5 to 10 yard passes and all of a sudden that run game was back. Cards are junior laden, shewwww they already a real good team but next year they are flat out loaded, Poindexter had a couple picks but I thought he played solid, not a Easy environment for a sophomore qb, one of those picks could have went either way. In closing this is what rivalry football should be, there are real good football teams in the west this year, very balanced, I hope these two don’t have to play again unless it’s for a regional title , either way the northwest 1a is very well represented with these two heavyweights. There are good teams and there are great teams , the difference between the two is the great teams find away to win when they face adversity,, this team and coaching staff faced both last night and they found away to pull it out, mistakes were made but I guarantee you that this morning they are thankful for those and are better from it .
