89 team went for ES beat Ma in ot at Pilot. Jay Boaz was ES qb. If Ma had won they got 2nd spot if East won they got tied with Ma and they drew straws and MA lost the draw. Starmount was the Conference Champ!
ES with 89 total yards. MA 400 plus with 6 different players scoring
Could have been a lot worse in the second half with the 2’s and 3’s in. If the younger gallimore develops this year along with that backfield of Martin and Joyce the bears won’t drop off much next season. That backfield could be as good as what we put on the field this year on Friday nights. The 2’s could have hung another 20 plus on east if coach hadn’t pulled them off. The youmans kid is an absolute stud at middle lb. Great addition this year. Awful lot of talent roaming the sidelines waiting for the second half this year. — guess the last post wasn’t my last post
Younger Gallimore has a great arm but doesn't get to use it as coach is calling running plays out of respect in second half.
On another note the 2a foothills conference is probably as wide open this year as ever
Those 2A Red Birds just can't seem to fly this year ! 0 & 2 start to 2, 1A teams.

I think North Surry has a real shot at it this year. The North Surry and Wilkes Central game will be an important game this year.
I’m with you, I think the grey hounds take ur this year. Could be a big year for the new coach
East surry will beat NS. East surry isn’t as good as they have been obviously but they are still well coached and that will be enough against an equal team like NS.
The next two weeks West Stokes plays East Surry and North Surry so should have an idea who is better. West has pretty young team but played Randleman pretty even this past Friday
North Surry has East Surry at NS for the final game of the regular season, and I think NS has a good chance of winning that game at home and improving every game. I can see ES losing possibly 4 games this year.
