Monroe @ Shelby

I appreciate your honest takes and full transparency. I think Shelby has definitely progressed, and can win, if we play mistake free football. I also think we could lose by two tds. We are young in critical spots.

Monroe looks like a vintage, primed championship Shelby team of the past. They are senior laden. They are strong against the pass, so the Shelby running game will be critical. I’m prepared for whatever, but wasn’t going to let 7 weeks of playing “Cherryville” influence my confidence. Monroe is a different animal.
Shelby 35 -28 !

We had Shelby down 16-0, and we let them stay in the game last year when we could’ve put them away. Shelby is a tough place to walk out of with a win. If any team can, though, it’s Monroe. Will be a great game, for sure!

You’re only active in the forum, because Shelby is still playing, and you are hoping and waiting on us to lose, so you can chirp . You normally disappear when Reidsville loses. After we beat you guys in 2021, you fell completely off the grid, to the point that I created a thread to see if anyone amongst Da Ville’s posters knew you, and could possibly do a wellness check on you.

You were “ghost”, account inactive, and it felt cold just thinking about you. I can’t blame you for hating, though, and looking for Shelby to lose, so ready to rub our noses in it. Heck, I’m still smoking good on my end. That good ole “ram pack” still blowing strong.
You could not be more wrong. Luckily I haven't had to disappear too much in the last few years, at least not as much as some. So let me get this right: I am supposed to fall off the grid when the Rams loose as in 2021, which causes you to worry about my well being (which I appreciate) or as in this year I don't fall off the grid and you are apparently aware of my well being yet wish you didn't want to have to read my post.
I may attend your matchup with Monroe Friday. I will sit on the Shelby side and pull FOR Shelby (just a little) I told SL I would attend the state finals should you make it and sit with him. I think he would be a barrel of laughs to hear during a game. I think you would just grovel the whole game. About two years ago I realized something in observance of Shelby......You can't always win. That changed my thinking. As for your father/son duo- they are still on my radar. We have to have some fun!!!

As a final note my response to TRUE/false also applies to you and ME.

Note for Chopper: I am sorry to type so much. Brevity doesn't always work.

Every body wanna talk about Monroe classification.. out of our almost 1200 students 800 is Hispanic and those kids don’t play football or basketball.. so out of the other 400 Monroe is only picking from prolly 200 boys to play football.. the other 200 is girls.. So to be honest Monroe really playing 1A ball if you look at it.. Monroe just has some dawgs in their little small community and a great Head Coach to compete…
Quick Google: Over 40 players this year in the NFL are of Hispanic descent.

Bro we have went back and forth enough that you know the majority of what I’m posting is just to have fun. There are basically no Monroe fans that really talk it up and we had crickets in our topic weeks ago. It’s playoff football and anything can happen. I think Monroe is a fine football team and looks like a title contender. I had no clue until I saw it myself. I saw Shelby vs Burns and that’s it. Monroe looked better. That was weeks ago. Things can change fast. My honest take: Monroe cannot hurt themselves with penalties on the road and give Shelby breaks. Shelby’s secondary better wrap up. Monroe better have balance and be able to move the ball like they have all year. Special teams are crucial for both. Both teams can burn you with breakaway speed. The biggest topic for Shelby is the O-Line. I don’t give a damn how good they played the first 3 rounds. Monroe is fast off the ball and pressure on QB is a recipe for disaster with their secondary. If Shelby’s O Line can create enough time for something quick we will have a game. Leave the homerun throws for next week. Use the flats.

We were, but weren’t as mentally stout and resilient as this year’s team has grown to be as the season has progressed.
Not sure if you heard about what happened to the FH QB and his family weekend before last. They were traveling up to Maryville College in Tennessee because he's been offered a scholarship there. They were on I-40 just outside of Morganton and slammed into a huge black bear. Destroyed the front of their car and killed the bear. Everyone was ok just scared the 💩 out of them I think.

We've all been saying the same thing about throwing home run balls on every play. Hit the short stuff and let the receivers runs, they all can fly.

So what does that have to do with Monroe? I have nothing against Hispanics they just don't play football and basketball at Monroe. I wish more would come out and play. I think Monroe has 3 on the football team.

@Monroe1998 the Hispanics are the boys you want up front. Them boys are some trench dogs, our offensive line this year is half Hispanic, last year it was about 80%, and two years ago which is the best offensive line I have seen in recent times in the area was made up of all but one who atleast had some Hispanic descent. Hispanics don’t just love soccer, that’s a dang near racist comment you made. I can see why the Hispanics don’t play football at Monroe, seems like their not wanted there.

If you can read my boy I didn't say Hispanics just play soccer, I said they don't play football and wish they would clown. I spoke the truth about the number of Hispanics that attend Monroe High School. I said nothing racist, that's just how you took it. Get off my post stupid!!!
