Magna Vista vs. Rams Game 5

Are you for real fresh?
That sounds correct to me.

I think Bethany Charter will affect Rockingham County much more than Reidsville since many of the students that should be attending Reidsville are already at Rockingham County and those are the students that are most likely to transfer to Bethany Charter.

I look for Reidsville ADM to be at 600 or so for the next realignment.

703? That is way lower than what I imagined. I thought it was closer to 775.

Must have been a big senior class leaving and small incoming freshman class, because that charter scam isnt pulling that many kids from Reidsville.

As of today, Reidsville has 703 students.
Sad day if we have to go 1A in the future. Hopefully they will bring Carter Ridge, Parts of West End and Bottom Half of McCoy Rd back to the Reidsville District seeing how they're only 5min or less from Reidsville High School. Plus with the Addition of new apartments they're Building near the school.

that would be great Stan...but the school board has to quit allowing kids that live literally across the street from RSH to transfer to RC.........................

Reidsville ADM since 2011
2017 -- ??
2016 -- 812
2015 -- 834
2014 -- 845
2013 - 858
2012 - 895
2011 - 919

If south end closes, and the lines for wentworth elementary do not change, you would drive through Rockingham district to get from the high school to the only elementary school in the city limits.

Maybe Reidsville and Mount Airy will rekindle an old rivalry in a 1-A conference in a couple of years.

Nobody wants to be playing in 1A. It's hard enough to get respect and recruited in 2A. 1A will be impossible to get any respect and even harder to get recruited.

I thought most of the recruiting came from summer camps and stuff like that?

Let's flashback to the thrilling days of yesteryear ... (first year of Rams) ...

Reidsville Rams' first conference in 1969
Reidsville
Mount Airy
Winston-Salem Anderson
Eastern Randolph
High Point Andrews
Madison-Mayodan
Eden Morehead
Mount Tabor

NOTE: It was 3-A
NOTE 2:
Reidsville lost to Mt. Airy in regular season, but came back to end the Granite Bears' long winning streak in the state championship game.

Anderson did not have a football team..at that time Reidsville played a 10 game schedule ....the 4 non-conf games that year were NE Guilford, Graham, Western Alamance and Sanford (now Lee Co.)......................

Interesting history for Mt. Tabor ... this from Wikipedia ...
Mount Tabor High School was opened as a 7-12 grade school at the beginning of the 1966-1967 school year. In 1971, the school district reorganized schools and changed Mount Tabor to a junior high school for grades 9 and 10. In 1984, it was changed again to a 9-12 grade high school. A new building containing a new auditorium, new guidance and administration offices, and several classrooms and science labs, was opened in 2004.

After Reidsville lost to Mt Airy in the regular season, maybe 14-6 or so, Coach Johnny Morris changed the Rams offense for the game at Graham to the power I and the Rams ripped highly rated Graham about 40-0.

I was happy to take all the Granite Bears money when QB Sammy Jones & Co ripped them in the championship game at Mt Airy.

That's the video I have that you need to see Mule. Sam Jones was the QB, Jim Amos became the running back and Lee Cobb was the All-State player - offense and defense.
