Both defenses playing lights out
Excellent defensive play by both teams. What impressed me most is the sportsmanship. It’s obvious that these kids are more mature than a lot of posters.
Halftime adjustments are gonna be key, Tarboro gonna half to open up offense little.
I predict Tarboro to come out trying to get outside more in the secondary and half
Tarboro can't keep running up the middle. Gonna have to go to the outside.
Tarboro has done everything they need to so far. I am sure they would like more offensive movement, but doing what they need to so far. Great tackles and covering assignments. Mount Airy has been a little better on offense, but a few mistakes have hurt. That turnover on downs hurt and they really needed that FG at the end of the half. Let's see what adjustments each team makes. Great defensive battle so far. Not as fun to watch, but solid tough football on both sides.
You can tell these 2 teams have a lot of respect for each other.
Tarboro needs to run outside the tackles with that fake dive and pitch

Especially as good as both defenses are.. MA is Great 2nd half team.. and you just gave them an easy score…simply terrible decision to go for it on 4th down..🤷🏿♂️
Congratulations to the Mount Airy Granite Bears on winning back to back. Proud of our defense for keeping it close but just ran out of gas. Ma may very well win three straight.
As I said, I hope MA holds up to be a great 2nd half-team. Go BEARS

Congratulations to Mt Airy on the win. They sure are tough as nails. Also hats off to Tarboro for a great season they had. I believe Tarboro will be back next season to represent the East.

Back to back for MA and JK. I’m counting 3 branches off the Mike Carter coaching tree with State Championships. Joe Pinyan, Scott Miller, and JK Adkins. Someone correct me if i’m wrong or missed anyone else.
That defense is suffocating. I bet that tailgate group doubles in size next year. Great season Bears !!! With no passing game Tarboro was lucky to keep it this close
I said MA may shut them out and the guys out East said no way. lol At least MA shut them out on touchdowns and held them to a field goal. They are not laughing now.
