Sneak attack on the way Friday nite. Our DC has watched a few more utubes on how to slow your offense down. Our OC played for the puppies and knows your weaknesses!! We WILL be ready. Will you???????

We beat Andrews really bad. We beat Hville really bad. Murphy played Rville close, so murphy should beat Hayesville bad if we are comparing scores. But that doesn't usually work.

Or Murpy beat Andrews by 7 and Andrews beat us by 6. So is it murpy by 13??9

What Sam meant to say "Is Murphy ready to stomp a mudhole in my team then walk it dry ? "

I could talk big like knine if I had about 700 students to draw from

Just for the record, the puppies NEVER won a state title playing 1AA!! NEVER!

Now , shift a few here, shift a few there and low and behold, they're down here playing with the likes of Cherokee and Andrews. i.e. <300 students.

Man I could talk REALLY BIG!!!!!!!

490,but whats couple hundred students among friends.

Gentry can hide 200 in his shirt pocket.
He is a good coach but he is great at finding loopholes. Or..........maybe dogstuff is the man behind the curtain. lol.

hate to burst your bubble but even with the early college kids in Murphy's district counted they would've been small 1A from 2011 through 2014.

it's a moronic conversation anyway, there are plenty of counties in this state that have an early college. Hell, Hayesville has plenty that attend Tri County EC

oh and as for this Friday... ;)

things are looking up in Bulldog country, I'll leave it at that

I have no Dog in the fight. "Pun intended" But every year people get on here and talk about Murphy and the early college. The truth is Murphy was smart enough to be the first ones not to count their early college kids. Schools all over the state are doing it now. Polk County will finally jump on board this next realignment. The state has found a loop hole Murphy just found it first. With all these charters schools and private schools competeing in 1a and 2a the public schools deserve a break somewhere.

actually we can drop the whole subject cause early college will field teams in different sports

Mbd are u the only one that still believes that. If Murphy counted the early collage kids they would've been 1AA ever year. U do remember I call them and ask. Nice try though.

100 kids puts Murphy in 1AA ever year. 50 kids would puturphy in 1AA almost ever year.

easy now knine lets not bring friday night into this (I am on your side about the EC). When will this discussion end I thought it might when the knights won 2 years in a row but obviously not. Does it really matter anymore it is what it is and I am pretty sure those kids volunteer and have to be approved to go there at least ours do. So take the win BK and please let it go man. If I remember correctly Murphy was going to state when it was just 1A and that was it, so it is kind of a dead horse conversation.

You just admitted to calling the school and asking them their numbers? I thought we were just kidding you about your obsession with all that and your creepiness of lingering in the wood-line around the school, counting students. Wow...tell me you didn't actually call the school. Can you really care that much?

On another but similar note, I recently worked with the Jackson County Early College (yes BK other places have them), and I was told repeatedly that they were their own separate and independent school. They draw kids that would have attended SM, Blue Ridge, and/or Highlands. How is this situation different than the Tri-County Early College? Sports were never brought up by their administrators. The conversation was strictly academic I am afraid. Just curious how you can count a student that attends a separate school against another schools enrollment? This most definitely isn't a BK question because I know where he stands, but more an open discussion.

Yes I did call.

Murphy folks said 12 kids went to the EC. I knew it was BS so I found out the truth instead of believing something that was so far from the truth. Thought it was settled but mbdfan is still living in fairy land. But that's his right.

I am not talking about Murphy counting them or not. I am talking about how many attend EC from the Murphy district. Mbd don't even know how many kids attend the EC.

you cant count them they are no longer students there and they receive no funds for those kids. it would like counting kids that moved to florida before their freshman year

50 kids WOULD NOT have put Murphy in 1AA all the years I listed, and that's about how many of these early college kids are from Murphy. You realize they have a cap on students right? They're only going to allow so many from one particular area when the early college is intended to provide for 4 school districts and two counties.

But the point is irrelevant, because there are numerous counties with an early college. Why don't you jump on Franklin, or any of these other schools, I mean without an early college they would be 3A right now. You don't because you live in a fantasy world where Murphy is the bad guy and the only school that's ever benefited from anything. My god man, let it go already.

I hear they are building a wall of shame next to the title town sign in Robbinsville. Rumour has it BK will be #1 on the wall.

so if early colleges will start having sports whats to stop them from recruiting 3 counties and dominate the smaller sports? early college with sports seems like an easier way to have a private school playing in nchsaa

It's a different school. Separate graduation, separate mascot. Draw from different high schools. I have neighbors whose kids go there and have graduated from there, from HD school district. It's simply just a separate school. It's a non issue.

If the EC kids can dominate a sport and keep their GPAs up in college-level courses at the same time, more power to 'em. :)

Mbd,200 or more by now go to the EC and u want me to believe only 50 are from Murphy. Murphy is the largest of the schools and the closest to the EC. I bet u are the one that told us 12 or so went to the EC from Murphy.

2010-556
2011-529
2012-521
2013-508
2014-496.
These are the numbers after adding it 50. Even though it's more than that. Just to humor u we will go with that. Looks like 10,11,12 would have be 1AA and 13 would of been very close. Nice try though.

Alright bk I will entertain your argument just to entertain myself for a minute. I decided to text a very close acquaintance (I'm not putting my exact relationship to this person because, well, some people have already admitted to calling the school) who works at the E.C and knows the students and where they reside from. Not getting in to specifics, but there are less than 50 who claim a Murphy address. Not going to argue over whether Murphy would be AA or A, just wanted to clarify these things. Looking forward to listening to the game Fri night and Murphy laying another beat down to Hayesville.

I know people get tired of hearing about this year after year but Sam and BK are absolutely correct. Murphy is running and has been running one of the biggest shams in high school football with the Early College. As BK pointed out above Murphy would be playing with the Big Dawgs (pun intended) almost every year if they didn't write off enough kids to the EC, that is a fact no way around it. As for the other schools that send kids to the EC there is no argument because even with those kids they still would not even be close to having 1AA numbers. Let's also not forget that Murphy High attracts students from all over Cherokee County (Hiawassee Dam, etc. that want to play football since they don't have a team). It is what it is, and they have found a loophole as someone above pointed out. The real fact of the matter is I hope they have enjoyed it while it has lasted because me thinks them Bulldogs will be moving up to another division here real soon!!! :D

Polkheel, you nailed it - I agree with you 100 %. I will add that the only schools that DO NOT get a break from this "loophole" are public schools that do not have an early college ... but it is what it is ... you gotta play with the hand your dealt.

Ok this song and dance is getting old, let's change the subject. BK let's talk about, (oh I don't know) swain transfers we have heard that one in awhile, you start and we will chime in.
