South Point will be the most physical team Lincolnton will face all year including the playoffs. Lincolnton is fully aware of the toughness of Belmont boys. There will not be time to throw vertical passes down field unless the backs can double up on the defensive line. Littlejohn will need his feet this Friday. South Point will play well off the receivers so the short outs will be available. Lincolnton has some speed at the skill positions as always. Running the ball will not be effective against South Point.
As far as South Point goes- it's ground and pound- always has been, always will be. Never more than 4 passes a game, and no need for more than 4 per game. They deal with the guys they got. Tough as hell, but less speed than most. Lincolnton will get run over, pounded, and bruised for 4 quarters. Every Lincolnton player will know it will be either a dive, a QB keep, or maybe, just maybe a flip to the wing. They will know it, but they will not be able to stop it. It's the Belmont way.
