Long time reader first time poster. I was standing on the NE side all night. I’ve never read such blatant BS in my life and find that I have to respond.
1. 1st and goal from their 5 and 4 plays later we were 3rd and 35 from the 50! 3 back to back to back penalties on NE.
There was a 10 yard holding penalty, and two obvious false starts on the WR on NE’s side. That made it 3rd and goal from the 21. But I understand you want to exaggerate to make it sound worse.
2. The NE qb scrambles to the outside to avoid the rush and is 2 steps from the sidelines and throws it downfield, out of bounds. He was called for grounding!!
In high school football there is no “outside the tackle box.” #3 threw the ball OOB while being chased to avoid the sack. That’s intentional grounding in high school football. Legal in college and the pros not legal in high school. Pretty sure someone else tried to tell you that in the other discussion.
3. TD called back because of a phantom hold when no NE player was in sight?
The holding foul was on #28. The NE coaches were yelling at him after the play. It was a good call. #79 and #72 were holding all night. You’re lucky they didn’t have more holding calls.
4. Is the band allowed to play when the opposing team has the ball? Or is that just a college rule? Somebody look that up?
In high school bands can play anytime they want to. Again college rule not a high school rule.
5. One official called 7 penalties. .
All on NE, none on Kinston, even after he saw the Kinston player kick our kid
when he was on the ground!
Not true. That same ref called a pass interference on NE’s first TD pass. I also remember him calling a false start on KHS and a foul on the Kinston snapper when he moved the ball. So if he called 7 penalties then at least 3 of them were on KHS. You can't split 7 more evenly than 4 and 3.
No one was kicked. The Kinston player tried to pull his leg away from the NE player who was lying on the ground holding it. It’s amazing that you think you’re smart enough to know what another human being saw.
6. When forward progress was stopped, they allowed the play to continue, while the Kinston players attempted to body slam our rb. But in the same breath blew a play dead when our rb shook off the tacklers?
Total BS. The refs let both teams play and gave runners an opportunity to break free. On NE’s last drive, they killed the play twice when #4 was gang tackled and trying to strip the ball. I guess you think he was going to break away frimnghat mob.
7. Pass interference calls on crucial 3rd down plays against NE...Kinston only had one called when we scored the 1st touchdown.
More BS. I remember 2 pass interference calls on NE. One of them came on 1st down, was marked have the distance to the goal and didn’t even give Kinston a fresh set of downs.
8. Clock doesn't run with less than 2 mins to go for an entire play...officials run only 3 seconds off the clock!
Actually they took 5 seconds off the clock, taking it down to
1:55. It doesn’t take that long to block a field goal. They took more time off the clock when the timer didn’t start it later in the final drive. The head ref even went on the microphone and told the timer to start the clock when he blew the whistle. The refs were on to the clock operator.
9. Though we should have caught the interception the previous play, the game winning td catch was as blatant a push off by the Kinston receiver as you will ever see! And the official was standing right next to both players...no call.
More sour grapes. Why weren’t you complaining about the officiating last week when a TD was taken away from Hereford? Because the call went in your team’s favor? Because you’re just pissin’ and moanin’ your sour grapes.
So please stop spewing this BS. You lost get over it move on. Basketball starts next week
