Well his name is tha only 1 I've heard so that's why I was askin!! His older brother was pretty impressive!!
They've got a forward who's about 6-3 and pretty athletic with a nice inside-out game, and a freshman guard who can really shoot it, so not a one-man team, but everything definitely flows through Cottrell.
Interesting team. Got to watch them this past week. Have possibilities. Fun to watch. Thought fannin co played very good defense. Hayesville handled it well.
Heard a lot about him before I got to see him the other night. Been watching a lot of ga teams play. He is one of the best all around players I have seen. Puts so much pressure on defenses with the way he plays. Beautiful stroke. Tremendous defender! Made some big time passes vs fannin. Can certainly see how he will translate at the div 1 level. Actually surprised he is still at such a small school. Most kids like him move to prep schools.
Nobody transfers in this area. We have to much school and community pride and no Prep Schools close. He comes from a long line of Athletes. He sister played college basketball and his brother is currently at Appalachian State playing basketball. His father and uncle were great athletes from Cullowhee High School which is now closed and they both played at the next level. Their grandfather coached basketball at Western Carolina University. So a very athletic family to say the least
Carolina Day has picked up a few from Robbinsville and Swain, so don't know if I'd say nobody, but definitely rare to see a kid transfer for "exposure" reasons like he was talking about--huge commitment because most SMC towns are quite the geographical oddity, 2 hours from everywhere! Much more common to see transfers between the different local schools.

They playing in a tournament in Georgia. Some teams from South Carolina and Alabama coming too.
Seen tha braves play tonight for tha 1st time this year, I know on any givin night anybody can be beat but you are right Sam, unz are gonna have unz hands full this year!!
Our girls got smoked tonight by a really good team outta sc and our boys led a team outta Ohio tha whole game and give it to em on a platter in tha last 3 minuets!! Both them teams really good!! What time does Murphy play tomorrow??

Not sure tha names of tha schools but they took us behind tha woodshed!! Lookin like charters gonna have there way, sure it's gonna be a little different when day gets back but idk!!
Seems like our teams ain't meshin well when times are tough!! Boys and coaches ain't goin together well in my opinion but they've just had 2 weeks together so will see!!
