Because you're about to get schooled Rosies.

Rose hasn't seen defense like Catholic PERIOD. They are six days away from a staunch reality check of epic proportion and a mouthful of broken teeth and bruised egos. What we've endured and whom we've defeated in West for this 2015 championship berth is worthy of a trophy all by its lonesome and that joke of an East bracket Rose glided through won't help them one bit. That's what's going to happen. Write it down. Get ready for the ultimate stress test on those pads and helmets. Get ready to feel it.

There are a few games that may give us an idea of the separation, or lack thereof, between these two teams. I am generally not a big fan of game score comparison but it's about all we have for this match up.

Dudley 35 Hillside 13
NHHS 52 Hillside 15
Catholic 17 Dudley 8

Catholic 5 Charlotte Christian 0
Charlotte Christian 27 Hoggard 10 (in CLT - 4 hour bus ride)
NHHS 30 Hoggard 13
Hillside 42 Hoggard 14

That Christian game was the first game of the season. Not sure that is an accurate look in terms of comparing teams as both are so different.
Don't forget Christian also blasted Myrtle Beach. Why are we comparing NHHS scores though? They aren't playing.

In a effort to get a read on the Charlotte Christian - Hoggard and Dudley - CC scores. It 's a reach I know.

Still not sure what point is trying to be proven, cause not one team in any of those scores is still playing. Unless I'm missing the point.

The score that performs the "tie in" is Rose 28 NHHS 14. It's a stretch but it's certainly better, if only slightly, than footsoldier's post.

If a knowledgeable Hillside fan that attended both games would report on the difference in Dudley and NHHS that could help to determine what we can expect in the state final.

I gotcha, was just like huh lol

Rose hasn't seen a D like CC and CC hasn't seen a O like Rose.
We've seen Vance. Vance has an offense with some great pieces including now UNC commit Myles Dorn. Catholic has seen an elite receiver. So I think Catholic will use what they learned vs Dorn in this game.

Well Rose averages 51 a game. I obviously don't think they will come close to that against CC but what they've accomplished this season on O is pretty impressive. People like to kick to Powell for some reason, hope CC is smart enough not to do that.

Assuming Powell is the WR. CC will do what they feel is best. They do have a kicker who has consistently put it in the endzone so that could help, if not im sure they'll kick it short.
Rose has a great offense, but I'm watching some of these runs they're getting vs NHHS and I know they won't get those on the CC D. I'm not being cocky, I'm going off of what I know and what I'm seeing on film.

If CC stops the rushing attack then Rose will have to pass, like New Bern had to do last year.
I will say this is a better CC pass defense than last year. Front 7 is better too, but pass defense has made some great strides this year.
They aren't elite, but they are better.

Vance is every bit the offense as Rose, can't really compare their numbers because of SOS. I have seen both team live and I would take Vance over Rose. CC will take away the inside of the field and not allow Rose their seem routes and skinny posts. Rose QB is a good high school QB but will not be as productive throwing outside the numbers. Now Powell may be the best player CC has seen. He is a legit 4-5 star WR. Rose didn't force things with him against NH. They will need to get him more than two touches to beat CC. I also think CC will run the ball more than NH did and control the clock. NH ran it a lot in the second half but with Walston at QB rose brought their safeties up.

Lol Foot..You made an almost identical post last year about what Catholic would do to New Bern. When it didn't happen...poof....you disappeared.

I actually happen to agree with you. Catholic by 14.

Hey CatScratchFever23 guess what? Over at Catholic the boys like their pizzas with a crispy thin crust, extra pepperoni and mozzarella, plus mushrooms and black olives.

At Dudley it's all about the deep dish pie with bacon, sausage, and ground beef.

Charlotte Country Day prefers the artisan style with hummus, baby spinach, and razor thin sliced veal seasoned with dill and cilantro.

And finally NCPreps fans...all of whom need plenty of fresh crow on theirs when they run their big mouths about Catholic football.

I would say these pizza choices are of equal worth as the silly scoring comparisons you've made. Where did that nonsense come from dude? #redpain #wakeforest

Perhaps that "east easy glide" isn't quite as easy at you thought. I tried to tell you it would be a close game..

Anyway, congratulations to Charlotte Catholic and especially to footsoldier and catholic coug!!
