But its here in Missouri. Either 30 minute drive to watch 2 undefeated (5-0) 3A teams or 1.5 hour trip to watch the local team (1A) play. The local team is 3-2 and averaging over 50 points a game the last two and giving up only 19 combined. They are picked by all the area gurus to win. Dont know which yet but it will be one of em. Sure wish I had a SWO game to listen to, oh well, it is what it is.

Sure would be great if the teams down there could get back to playing.I just can't imagine.

I made the 1.5 hour trip and watched the local 1A team get their 4th win 34-14. Hated to spoil the opponents Home Coming game ...

They were supposed to have a stout run defense and force us to throw. We ran all over them. But it wasnt the backs ....Our QB had over 200 yards rusing for 3 TD, caught a Half Back option pass for another, and threw for the 5th. We had close to 200 yards in flags, mostly off holding and pass interference. A nice crisp 48 deg at the end of the game, perfect football weather.

Ever see 3 TDs in one series ? We had 2 called back on holding and finally got the 3rd on a 50 yard run by the QB.

Went from 90s to 60s in one day last week. Been Fall since. Leaves are raining down. Dont miss the skitters and hot weather. Looking forward to East Carteret comin on down Friday oct 5 for our first game in a while. Dont know what to expect after the long layoff. Just need a win to start conference play. EC and Croatan were suspended just before the half last night for lightning. Will resume Monday. Maybe they will be tired out come Friday ..... Or maybe we will Wear them Out.
