I thought about doing guys soccer since I did girls back in the spring. With football season coming in this topic may not get much attention. I will try to do my homework and keep up best I can. If anyone wants to jump in and help will be good. I’m just doing a trial to see how this goes.

I follow New Hanover very closely and also keep track of the other 3 Wilmington schools. I will try to jump in when I can.
If I can remember this thread is here I can cover Gaston, Lincoln, Cleveland decent.
Well Aug 1st is officially here which means it want be long for sports to begin in HS. Looks like from what I got Boys soccer 1st games will start in about 2 weeks. I will start off with Greater Metro 4A and list their 1st game. Then I will try and list other conferences as well.

Ashley does have a solid program and has had years where they are very good. If I were to rank Wilmington teams in tradition, I would put New Hanover and Hoggard above them but Ashley may be the better team this year.
Hoggard always fields a solid team every year and probably could field almost two teams with the number of quality players they have. New Hanover doesn’t have nearly the numbers but had managed to win a state championship and be runner up twice.
Very interesting considering the Hoggard/ Asheboro score. May have to reconsider the area rankings.
