Guys, being off from work, Friday, I wanted to take in a game, but as fate would have it, my team is off, this week.

Games I thought about going to are Newton-Conover at West Caldwell or Alexander Central at South Iredell. Both, Lenoir and Troutmen are about 45 minutes from here and are easy drives.

If you were me, which would you go to ?

Thought about Kings Mountain at Shelby but I've seen the Lions play and their defense is just too much. Looks like the Mountaineers are in for a long night.

I thought about East Lincoln and Bandys. I like the Trojans and I like East Lincon, too, well, maybe not East, but I just can't see Bandys holding their own against the Mustangs, so fellow posters, if you find the time, tell me where to go ( for those suggesting the infernal region, thank you for not sharing). All opinions will be appreciated.

I don't know how far you are willing to go. I think East Forsyth-Page game is going to be a good one. Dudley at Richmond will be one too. At the 2A level...West Stokes at North Rowan may be a good one.

Alexander vs South would be my pick. It may be a lot of excitement as I think a lot of points are going to be put on the scoreboard. Nice atmosphere in Troutman although the visitor side is small.

Go to West/Newton Conover game..... grab a pizza from Piccalos
before the game. Best pizza in that one horse town.

Crust vs. RS.....they both beat draughn by close to the same amount of points .

GDG, I'll probably take you advice and head towards Troutman.
Mrs.King, mentioned East Forsyth at Page. I've never seen Page play and would like to, but Greensboro is a little to far.Thachsn1 said Dudley at Richmond would be good and I agree. That might be the premier game in North Carolina, but like Greensboro, Rockingham is too far, me being an old head. Also Ldog recommended RS and Crest but I can't see the Hilltoppers having much of a chance. I'm looking for the Chargers to come on strong during the second half of the season.
Wormy, who I think is a Mitchell poster said he looked for a good game with Hendersonville at Mountain Heritage. The Cougars are having a banner year and have a win over Erwin.
I wasn't sure if Hendersonville could stay with MH.
It would be nice to visit The Pit, again. Last time I was there we got sent back down the mountain with a loss. That was 2009. MH had Casey Randolph and we couldn't catch him.
It's been gray and gloomy the past couple of days but according to The Weather Channel the sun will be out by late afternoon so it looks like a good evening for football.

I think the best game in the area will be NC @ West Caldwell. I would make that trip but I have prior obligations at 6PM. Probably make my way down to East, even though I know how it will play out.
