it’s crazy flippen is only a sophomore definitely will be a high recruit. Still don’t understand why watlimgton isn’t the feature back. He’s the running back until he gets tired smh
Like a lot of Reidsville standouts ... needs size.
Anybody remember Kenzel Doe and Lyshod Graves ... how about Peoples and Flippen in comparison.

peoples is a lyshod graves clone. People’s already has an offer. Flippen reminds me of breon pass, flippen still has time to grow

Just got home from the game. A few quick notes. Page did not have their head coach on the sidelines, we hope everything is okay! Page played pretty well in the first half. Reidsville had a hard time stopping Hester and Thompson from running the ball. For the most part, Page looked like they had some good momentum going up 13-7 in the 2nd quarter, but a 15 minute injury stoppage and failed 2 pt conversion try took all the wind out of the sails, and the Rams took over after that. Page was controlling things inside the tackles early on, on both sides of the ball, but once Reidsville started moving the ball through the air on the outside of the hashes, it was lights out. Page just didn't have enough depth going into the 2nd half, which is what I was suspecting coming into the game. Overall a good match up, and will be very interesting to see how Page develops in the years to come once the program gets rolling again. Good game, Reidsville Rams! Good luck going forward.

Page has a good backfield not just Hester. Hester should get some offers.

Reidsville missing their best defensive player that will eventually help out

Page was definitely out manning Reidsville physically in the first half...but I think the Pirates did get wore down....The duo of Peoples and Flippen give the Rams 2 guys with lights out speed that can take it to the house every time they touch the ball....Peoples also had a great punt return for TD called back on a block in the back which wasn't needed but definitely was a penalty....Hope Doug Robertson makes a quick return....Also didn't realize until tonight that Houghton and Nimmons both star players for Reidsville a few years back, are now asst. coaches at Page.....................

Doug was out on Covid protocol. I was shooting pictures on the Page side in second half. OC and DC got in a heated exchange. Players and coaches having to get in between them. 🤷‍♂️

Not sure, I missed the first half of the 3rd quarter at the concession stand and then was standing on the Reidsville side for the 4th quarter.

Some more stats:
First Downs - Page 13, Reidsville 15
Total Yards - Page 279, Reidsville 425
Penalties: Page 10-66, Reidsville 10-53
Offensive Plays - Page 55, Reidsville 41
Time of Possession: Page 30:43, Reidsville 17:17

Page Leaders - Trevon Hester 13 carries, 71 yards; P.J. Thompson 6 carries, 66 yards; Nick Williamson 11-of-20 passing, 123 yards; Grady Sherrill 3 catches, 62 yards.

I was really surprised at how heated it got. Especially in front of the kids. Very vocal

I walk back from the concession stand and the wheels came off a little bit. Reidsville scored on a 4th and goal from the 2 and the opposite side linesman called the TD when the closer ref did not. Very confused on that one, it was very close. Then the rams score on a punt return 4 plays later when Pages coverage fell asleep a bit. 35-13 rams, game is about over at this point.

I saw them twice last year WRH and NE. Reidsville can take the wheels off quicker than a NASCAR pit stop.

It wasnt long ago when Page was taking wheels off on a weekly basis

It will get back. I'm sure Page will win a few games this season. Just a brutal 3 game stretch page has, as well as some tough conference games. Because Northern is pretty good this season as well and of course grimsley.

I think the rest of the games are winnable.

I've been going to Reidsville football games for more than 70 years and I have never seen the kind of speed that Flippen shows. Seems like he scores almost every time he touches the ball. Amazing.
Definitely expect him to receive offers real soon. He'll be on the radar considering he's close to 6'0 as a Sophomore, with room to grow. Special talent and he's only going to get better.

Great adjustment to put 8 in the box from the coaching staff. Also think the coaches did a good job getting the ball to the speed.

The only person I can compare him to in terms of ability from Reidsville would be J. Simpson, obviously two completely different styles but both are game changers. Flippens hand-eye coordination is amazing, I can't remember him ever dropping a pass that touches his hands. I could easily see him being a return man in college maybe even pro like Brandon Tate did from Cummings. Time will tell.

Here is a little Bio info about Anthony Franson.

His father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather are all graduates of the Naval Academy.

And all were either Captains or Admirals.

And his mother, not to be outdone, flew fighter bombers in Iraq.

Anthony has a 4.50 gpa average at Reidsville High School and is enrolled in the IB Program.
His kicking stats are also great ... he's 11 for 11 on XPs this season and 75 of 77 the last two seasons; now 161 of 174 for his career along with 6 of 8 field goals. He's currently on a streak of 50 straight XPs.
