Thanks for sharing that, Sportsnut. It is no coincidence that two of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time....John Wooden and Dean Smith, considered themselves to be teachers. Mostly teachers of life skills. That they chose to remain college coaches because it allowed them to teach.
As much fun as it is to play, watch and discuss high school sports, most of us tend to forget that the playing field is just one more classroom. Everything, and I mean everything, that doesn't enhance the educational experience is secondary.
