Big conference game in the pit! Pisgah rolled East Hendo while Franklin struggled in the 1st half with Brevard. Thoughts?

Sloberknocker. It ought it be a good one. Hopefully everyone is healthy and ready to go. Pisgah can't come out flat like they did at Asheville.
Franklin was better in my opinion. Wouldn't surprise me either way, but Franklin most likely wins this one.
Sorry missed this, we're probably better & faster than normal. If we have 31 available to play both ways RB-DB we are a much faster & quicker team. That being said it's still our week spot. We gave up quite a bit to Erwin & Asheville hurt us with some big plays. Typical Panther MO of long time consuming drives to keep the opponents D on the field & the O off of it. If you can shut down our run game you guys will probably win.
This is correct. #31 got the concussion against Erwin, so he had to be out until the next Friday against Brevard. He technically would have been eligible to resume football activities as early as Saturday as long as he hasn't shown any other symptoms.
Sounds like two pretty well matched teams. This will come down to the big boys up front I think. Going to be a fun game to watch for sure.
Them shutting our run game down is easier said than done though......Asheville did for the most part but that's the only team we've played that's been able to do so. With 31 in the game against Erwin all game, we win IMO.
I was very impressed with Lowery and Gibbs when they played Asheville. Two tough players with no quit in them.
He's not Jeremiah Young, but he is a very patient runner who sets up his blockers and knows when to burst through an opening. The other guy, #30, is just a head down runner that finds success when he runs people over.
Franklin is a damn good team without #31. With him they are a whole different animal. No disrespect to Pisgah or it's fans, but Franklin I think has a better game plan. They remind me a lot of us in that they will eat up most of each quarter on a scoring drive. Franklin 35 - Pisgah 31. Much respect to both teams.

In the next three weeks we will find out just how good the Bears are.Going to Franklin is always a tough place to win.Hard to beat the Panthers and the ref's.

What's The Pit looking like with all this rain? After Friday they'll have to call it The Mud Pit. That field will be tore up.
Those referees of ours really help out. We had to go up on ticket prices just to keep them around though.
I was out there two weeks ago and watched you guys play Swain.They are a lot of fans from Swain that agree with you.
No mention of the ludicrous calls that went against us in Canton last year?
If I recollect the penalties were about the same on both and those calls never cost you the game like those the year before cost us the win.
Guess we will agree to disagree on this one. I very rarely bring the refs into the discussion. That being said the calls that went against us were crazy & kept you guys in the game. Our radio guys are homers as are most but they just went nuts over the calls in that game. The calls didn't cost us the game because we wore you down and pulled away in the 4th Q. If not for that then they very well could have cost us a undefeated season. Guess we'll see what happens Friday night.
In all seriousness, the refs in that end of the world are the worst that I've ever seen! I'm neutral between these two teams. But I must say, it appeared that the refs cost pisgah the game two years ago in the pit. If I recall there were a couple of bogus pass interference calls against Pisgah. One of which, the Franklin receiver had no shot of getting to. The refs threw another flag after pisgah run a td. From where I was standing (franklin's stands) it looked like the refs looked at each other, as if to say- what are we going to do about this? A few moments after the td they decided to throw a flag for illegal motion!! I may have missed it, but I didn't see any illegal motion!! It was after that, that pisgah missed a fg. Franklin was given that W gift wrapped by the refs.

For the record I could care less a out the refs its a crutch both have valid points I thought last year Franklin just had the better team and maybe we had a little help sticking around..two years ago I'm not sure Franklin had the better team and well look at the tape its pretty obvious.. I've had Franklin friends tell me they thought we may have got robbed that year but as a player and a team you have to be tough enough to overcome that...the weather this weekend whatever day its played which I assume has to be Fri, sat or Monday night is gonna play a big roll I've seen a little tape on Franklin and I think it's pretty even..they played Asheville a little closer than we did but not by much..any ideas what schools will do? with the rain I don't see where it could be made up later no open dates and if you wait past Monday both teams leave themself venerable for the following friday

There are no uncatchable passes in high school football. Pass Interference is Pass Interference, regardless of where the ball lands.
The motion man started moving before everybody else was set. I was screaming for it before the play ended in a touchdown.
The refs didn't gift wrap the game, Pisgah making mistakes at the wrong times gift wrapped the game.
I do look forward to that game. Should be a good one!

Good grief what a jv game! I don't wanna hear Pisgah gets calls at home anymore! Pisgah fought through flag after flag tonight to win this game. Way to keep fighting boys!
Tuscola jvs still undefeated as well after whipping brevard. I'm looking forward to the jv matchup against pisgah as much as the varsity game.
