Trust me Davie won’t be bad for long but there too much drama and issue right now thats the biggest issues rn for the war eaglesDavie got some real good talent coming through the pipeline... Just saying...
I'd love to play those teams but drive times would suck. Here are my 3 alternatives
1. Mooresville
South
LN
Hough
North Meck
Hopewell
2. Davie
LN
Mooresville
South Iredell
West Forsyth
Reagan
3. **Prob won’t happen**
Ashbrook
South Point
KM
Hough
NM
Mooresville
LN
SI
They would but it would be a very competitive games and overall a tough conference.I'd love to play to teams but drive times would suck.
If this conference draft ain't changed, Mooresville and Lake Norman gonna be fighting like dogs in a parking lot with schools that don’t even know what a touchdown is! This could turn their game day vibes into sad emoji central. Goodbye rivalries, hello road trips and getting lost in Carolina! Pack your bags, it’s about to get real confusing! 😂With word that some in Cabarrus co won’t be fighting their new conference - I believe Mooresville / LN is in a bad spot rn bc I feel like this conference on the first draft may stay - There a few other options but some are not going like those options but will see.
The realignment twice prior had a 10 team Central Carolina Conference (2A). At least there were 11 games back then, which allowed for two non-conference games. Now that the limit is 10 games, a 9 team conference is in that exact same situation. I don't like it.i feel like a 9 team conference gives a disadvantage to the non conference matchups look at the conference they put richmond in
hoke county 8a
pinecrest 8a
cape fear 7a
jack britt 7a
lumberton 7a
overhills 7a
pine forest 7a
purnell swett 7a
it pretty much gives richmond 2 non conference matchups. take hoke county and pinecrest and you would have 4 non conference matchups which is the way its supposed to be
I remember those days and the league was spread out all over the place in multiple counties at once time from Iredell to Moore. The realignment twice prior had a 10 team Central Carolina Conference (2A). Wow, in the last alignment, wasn’t Thomasville in a ten team conference with all Davidson and Rowan County schools? Of course, we were thrown in with some much larger schools.I remember those days and the league was spread out all over the place in multiple counties at once time from Iredell to Moore.
It’s doable, but not ideal. Thomasville was in a ten team conference with eleven games. So only two non-conference games also.Nine-team conferences just don't work with ten-game regular seasons in football. But with the playoffs going from six to five rounds in 2025, maybe there is hope for an 11-game regular season.
And where is Pinecrest and Hoke County supposed to go???i feel like a 9 team conference gives a disadvantage to the non conference matchups look at the conference they put richmond in
