So what do you think, kidd? Three Davidson and four Randolph County schools?3A also if you look at the very bottom has had another school added as well…
Oh well. Back to playing schools with 800 students again…
Reminds me of PAC7 anyway 🤷♂️
Not sure. Unless they just do a split again and have 3A/4A PAC7?So what do you think, kidd? Three Davidson and four Randolph County schools?
Could be. That would leave.the Davidson County schools hanging. As two of the smallest 3A schools, I would think that a split 3A/4A wouldn’t be good for either of us other than perhaps to maintain some traditional rivals. But a seven team conference would allow at least three football games for that purpose. Guess we’ll know when we know. Not sure. Unless they just do a split again and have 3A/4A PAC7?
maybe you’ll come visit the little 2A boards every once in a while.3A also if you look at the very bottom has had another school added as well…

Just to check on you brother…maybe you’ll come visit the little 2A boards every once in a while.
Maybe we will get a matchup before Yall head off to bigger thingsJust to check on you brother…
Yall seem to be good people, Tarboro folks have grown on me over here.
I, as you, have no idea what will happen. Like I’ve said many times, the all Randolph conference has been great for both gates and limited travel costs. ER has been the only 1A football school in that conference and they have done pretty well these past four seasons. The only difference in a new conference would be the numbers at the front, few more 3As and a couple of 4s.Could be. That would leave.the Davidson County schools hanging. Assuming there are conferences instead of that weird “region” thing, I would think that split conferences would be a last resort. But. I guess in some areas, the last resort would make the most sense, especially from a travel perspective.I, as you, have no idea what will happen. I would hate that for the Davidson county schools. Got a few friends at a couple of them.
But like you said, we just talking and really have no influence on what’s going to happen. Either way I will continue to read your posts because I believe we are like minded individuals.
I don't know how you'd have conferences or regions or whatever you want to call leagues without splitting or just accepting that a few of them are only going to be 3 or 4 teams. For instance, in 1A there are 4 football playing schools in WNC (Rosman, Andrews, Robbinsville, TJCA) and nobody else until Forsyth and Stokes county. So you can either split, have a league of 3 or 4 schools, or have W-S Prep and Andrews in the same league with a 500 mile round trip. No option is ideal, but splitting seems like the better choice.Assuming there are conferences instead of that weird “region” thing, I would think that split conferences would be a last resort. But. If the current RPI formula is used, and there are split conferences, I think it unnecessarily complicates the playoff pairings. But maybe that’s just me.
Not that I have a vote, but my preference is always minimal travel, some parity and maintenance of long time rivals where possible. Oh, and don’t put us in with those High Point schools. They bring out the worst in our players and fans.
I don’t disagree with that. But believe that split leagues should be kept to a minimum and only when other options don’t make sense. So, especially in the more populous areas, don’t do it just because it’s necessary in other areas.I don't know how you'd have conferences or regions or whatever you want to call leagues without splitting or just accepting that a few of them are only going to be 3 or 4 teams. Hmmm.....may be in same conference/region as ..............North Moore (who will fair far worse than ER there) ------THE Batman3A also if you look at the very bottom has had another school added as well…

Seems like the SMC could be a split 1A/2A league with all those schools close to one another like it used to be. As mentioned above, after the mountains and Thomas Jefferson you then have no football schools until WS Prep (Forsyth), S. Davidson, College Prep (High Point), N. Stokes and Chatham Central all isolated from one another and much smaller than the schools around them. Just hope these schools are not stuck in a league with a bunch of charters without football as that would be a terrible situation for scheduling. I think SD and C Central may end up together in a 1A/2A split with Albemarle and S Stanly with some charters. NS, C Prep and WS Prep in a NW 1A/2A split league with the 2A schools from the old NW1A or charters without football? It is going to be a mess likely for the 1A's with 8 divisions.I don’t disagree with that. But believe that split leagues should be kept to a minimum and only when other options don’t make sense. Robbinsville vs Wilson Prep next year for 1A championship
Here are 6 3A teams that have been in the same conference before but at different times, and maybe the new conference with 4 non-conference added. Not that I like it, but if they go with conferences, this may be it. This is just my thinking. These, I think, represent the least amount of travel with some good matchups. Hopefully, they realign every 2 years as fast as ADMs are changing in some areas.
Add these 4 non-conference.
4A None-conference, take your pick, I picked 2 & need 4, ideas ?.
3A Conference Teams

- Reidsville
- Wilkes Central
- West Stokes
- Ashe County
- Forbush
- Starmount 2A
- East Surry
- Mount Airy
- North Wilkes
- Walkertown
- West Wilkes
- Surry Central
We will be very young next year skill wise. But our freshman class and rising freshman class are full of talent. 2026 could be special! I’m not a fan of the new setup at all though. The atmospheres of the Murphy and Swain rematches in the playoffs is hard to beat and kinda like the standard around here anymore.Robbinsville vs Wilson Prep next year for 1A championship
