Tc up 21-7 behind their freshman qb who I think is the head coaches son. He looks pretty good in his first start. Erwin could come back.
Tcr up 28-7 with 6 mins left in half. I'm really shocked at this. Erwin is glaringly small though. I didnt expect this.
Tc doesn't look all that great honestly but Erwin looks like they'd rather be playing soccer. Does Erwin not have a weightroom? I know this game is far from over but Erwin shocked me with their size. Tc lost to NB!!!
I feel terrible for some of these players for tc. They look athletic, but I don't know what is up with them
Erwin wins 35-31. Wow erwin has really been walking the line the last 3 weeks. The last 3 weeks could have taken then from a 15 seed to a 6-7
I think people just need to face it that Erwin isn't as good as they want them to be.
Was not impressed with either team. Future could be bright for Roberson if Deal continues to develop. He is big with a good arm, just a freshmen.
I agree. Both teams looked terrible: Erwin was the better team but getting down 28-7 to that Roberson team was shocking. Tc is just, well....tc. They usually have alot of talent and suck, this year they don't have that much talent. They will get a 5-8 seed because they "won" their conference, will host a home game and proceed to be annihilated. How a kid who is serious about playing football could stay at a school like that with 1,800 students and continue year after year to lose to teams they should be has got to be tough.
And that "family" thing on the back of their jerseys has to be the corniest thing I've ever seen.
Erwin came out flat and they are playing down to competition. They have some key injuries on the d line that is hurting them bad. Erwin should have beat TC by 4tds but they had no rhythm on offense. Cqajdd is Erwin really that bad? We actually gave Reynolds a game. Asheville got blew out. Oh no Dowdle for another score on the Cougars d. They are still scoring on you guys.

Man don't come on here running your mouth. There play over the last two weeks should answer your question. Don't really care what they did against Reynolds. They got beat. There are no brownie points in football. I just said what I have said all year. That's not going to change because you don't like the truth. This time of the year every one is dealing with injuries.
Keep running that trap because Erwin is still on our schedule and I can't wait but for know we are focused on McDowell.
We aren't as good as last year and Erwin definitely isn't as good as last year. Somebody on the Mac week 9 picks said "if this tc erwin game is close then Erwin has something to be worried about". Everybody had Erwin by 17+ tonight and for the 3rd straight week they looked very very bad.
Not that it matters though, we are both just playing for seeding now. I still say we play Reynolds again in the 3rd round. You heard it here.

If we win out we will get the 4 or 5 seed. If we get past the first 2 rounds it would be Reynolds or Weddington waiting in the third round.
If acr didn't have 5 TOs that night they would have put 60 on Erwin, they had 0 vs AHS that's the difference. They left 35 points on the board vs Erwin
You guys trash talk TC all the time. These are kids that go out and give their all night in and night out win or loose. The comment about the "Family " on the back of the jersey is childish for a grown man I'm guessing. Did you stop to think that the kids probably decided to put it on the jerseys? We all know TC is down give those kids a break. Even with all their losses they still show up for practice and they still go out and play maybe not to your standards but you can't satisfy everyone and when they do well oh it's because the other team is horrible as well. People forget TC played as hard of a non conference schedule as anyone in Buncombe County with the exception of Erwin
I watched the game last night and I was impressed with TC's freshman QB. I thought he handled himself well. He will be something as he gets older and stronger.
I thought Erwin made too many unforced errors early and that hurt them. They had some drops and fumbles that gave TC great field position.
TC is big up front and that hurt Erwin. All in all is was not a crisp game by either team.

I'm sure the thought of being on live television gave both teams the jitters early on. Liked the fact that the officials let them play as well.
You made some good points. But I will say teenagers not kids! And when TC is good at something their fans are as bad as any at talking trash! But are always the first to cry about them just being kids when they are not good! Try going to a TC baseball games and see how those grown adults act!!!
I promise you I am not a TC fan. I am just a football fan. All schools have cocky fans just read these boards and you will find them.
You are exactly right! Why feel sorry for TC! Everybody's teams get trashed talked on here!
Give credit where credit is due. Erwin forced ACR into turnovers. They didn't just show up and it happened. True, Erwin probably is not as good as some proceeding years. Their record is not as impressive as ACR or AHS but our non conference opponents were very good. I believe we learned a lot by facing tougher teams.(#1 toughest schedule in 3a NC.) Last night was a very challenging game. They stood their ground and came back from 28-7 defecit. They didn't quit and ended up being winners. Give credit.
