Edenton @ South Columbus Eastern 2A Finals

It's going to be a good game both teams have good RB's and a good run defense. We will see what happen next week.
Why isn't that Bailey kid from Holmes isn't getting any D1 offers with over 2600 rushing yards so far. The big D1 schools did the same to this kid from Bunn Tarik Cohen a few years ago because of his small statue but look what he has done since he has been at A&T such as leading their conference in rushing since he's been there. I have seen this kid Bailey play several time and he has tremendous visual a RB need and power plus he's the same size as Tarik Cohen and is going to be bigger and stronger next season plus he's a good kid in the class room and his community and his father make sure he stay focus and not get a big head by what he has accomplished this season. He has an offer from Elizabeth City State University and some other small schools though.
Of course you are bitter Northeastern was totally dominated by Edenton. If you guys had won you would have said Northeastern by 28. I guess SC would have beat you guys by 42 if we beat you by 14. Oh but wait. Northeastern isn't playing anymore. We know that SC is a talented team. And we respect that unlike you. Good luck to both the Stalions and Aces next week. What a game tonight at Tabor City. SC playing very,very good. Shame that they had to be a loser tonight. Coach Dove and staff have done a heck of a job with this team.

Can't wait. Don't know much about Edenton but I know they're a tough team to beat NE. Looking forward to some great football again next Friday!!
Glad to see the stallions back in the Eastern Championship. Don't really know much about Holmes but think it'll be a good game. Hope the stallions get it done and get to the big one!
Proud of our guys for getting the win but we need to do better defensively. We can't give up that many points per game. Offense wins games, defense wins championships!

No we had our chances Edenton played a great game but our coach change quarter backs and we lost but outplayed us tonight and out coach us but they have the talent like we do to stick with yall but like last night anybody can win
Who did Edenton lose to in conference this year? South Columbus played Bertie three weeks ago and they were not a bad team at all.
Lost to Rocky Mount out of conference and lost to Northeastern in conference.
You know I really thought our youth would have gotten us in that game last night but these young men just keep digging down deep. If the game this week is anything like last night I think I'll have shaved 10 years off my life 
I see you run the Triple Option but about how many times a game do the Aces throw it?
Last night SC played with more heart did not quit and this week should be heck of game.
If EH runs a true triple option it could give any defense trouble,but after last night I think Stallions can handle it. I was reading on 4A board how good coach at EH was at Richmond. Coach Dove heck of coach too. Can't wait for Friday night. Good luck guys.

Anyone have any score predictions? I'll say this one is another one that runs your bood pressure sky high, Stallions 41 Aces 35.
I have a question about a general rule. Can a high school player running the ball jump over defenders while running the ball? I don't know and I've had people say both ways. Just wanted to know. Sorry for off topic.
Not sure but regarding rules, it was to my knowledge that on a botched punt where the ball goes over the punters head and he has to roll out to pooch kick it he is considered the same as a runner at that point and can receive contact just like any other player! The call on the opening drive of the second half last night was very questionable IMO
I definitely agree with that no doubt. Just wondering about jumping over a player while running. Nothing that happened last night with the jumping. But you're right with the punter scenario
Not guessing a final score but I bet the final is within 10 points. Both are high scoring offenses. Go stallions!
No last week our running back broke one up the middle and hurdled a defender ! Every single referee threw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct on us for it ....

Except with much better execution I'm sure. Not taking a jab at Whiteville at all, they're young and gonna be a handful next year but Edenton wouldn't be here if they weren't clicking on all cylinders.
Hoping the Stallions can lay down a Royal Flush against the 4 Aces of Edenton. All the ingredients to be a good one!
Both teams are playing great at the right time. I do think that Edenton has played better competition. Their offense is difficult to stop especially if your not familiar with it. Their players aren't huge but they are strong as bulls with outstanding technique.
After seeing both teams I think Edenton by 17 if they don't turn the ball over.

Jamesdavis06 what happened to Northeastern passing attack against Holmes? They put 60's points on Southwest Onslow last week and was suppose to blow the Aces out of the water.
The Aces lost to Northeastern in conference play and Rocky Mount in non conference play. The Rocky Mount game was winnable in the Northeastern lost turn overs in the first quarter by the QB hurt the Aces but the QB's the coach son Luke accounted for three of the Aces td's two on the option and one by passing.
They have a good weight program every since coach Mattera was there as the coach the first time the weight training has done a 360 turn. As a matter of fact one of their best DL didn't even play in the last two playoff game got hurt against Beddingfield and he's only about 5'9 175 strong as a bull with speed. Got hurt when this kid from Beddingfield who weighted over 300 fell on his leg.
