ER's run defense on paper suggest other wise. You have to remember the competition near the southern border is a bit tougher than 2A in triad area. Ya'll had Cobb in the West Stokes and Walkertown games. We saw how those went.

The game was closer than it should have been. ER had the ball stripped for a Reidsville TD and on the next possession the punter missed the ball and Reidsville walked 5 yards in. ER defense dominated the majority of that game. Neal is all Reidsville had.
Rams D tried to overload one side, and ER simply ran the other way most of the night.
This went unnoticed. On paper they have been doing this for a couple of weeks.
I know bro. When the brackets were announced this matchup peaked my interest. I’m not surprised but it wasn’t as close as the score.
No reason to talk any more football when comes to Reidsville anytime soon. It’s officially basketball season and I’m for one happy to be pulling for the Rams
Give credit to the Forest City boys' defensive effort. Holding high-powered Reidsville attack to two touchdowns took a great performance. ER played the best pass defense Reidsville has seen in a while. They gambled that the Rams were not a big running threat and overloaded the secondary. Neal's scrambling accounted for most of Reidsville's rushing yards.
On offense, Cavaliers just ran the ball right up the middle all night and kept ball control. Rams were lucky to get back in the game after trailing 21-0 ... Neal's fumble return came when running back was fighting for extra yardage after picking up a first down. And the punt debacle was a gift. The punting game looked to be a weakness for the Cavaliers.

TGT perfecr decription... the East pass defense was very good.... Any bubbles or screens were immediately met and they tripled Harrison all night, he still had a few catches... I dont remember Sharp getting many touches.... their game plan was great... When East scored with a little over 2 to go I knew that was too much time .... It was as good a ball game as I have seen all year... Great run by the Rams...and huge win for the East program...
Upset tone was set early when Reidsville moved inside the 10-yard line on their first two possessions but came away with 0.
What good is talking about something you can’t change or fix? Lol I love the rams football team. But we lost. We deserved to lose. Even with the terrible penalties that blew our Gw TD run
Yep. Run it down the middle. Takes a real coach to figure that one out. Lol when ER gets crushed in a week or 2 people won’t think this was such an upset anymore. Shelby time to come to the top. But they say Monroe has finally arrived

I did say that Reidsville would not win it this year. I would like to just say that as the world turns and the weather gets colder the football is very difficult to throw the ball. This is where teams with QBs with no experience can get exposed. Both teams played their hearts out.
When it gets cold, running the ball will solve a lo of issues.
Sounds like ER played control of the game on the ground. I bet there was a significant difference in time of possession. ER just took the air out of the ball. Sounds like they play Eastern nc style

Let's just face the music here..it doesn't matter what the referees did.. it doesn't matter about injuries. There are no excuses. ER did what they set our to do. A bit of humble pie was maybe needed for the Rams. The scoreboard says it all! Great season for the Rams and a continuing pursuit for ER who played a great game also. Let us all sing KumBahYah and smile as the beat goes on;
