I may not get many views an prob no replies at all on this one, espacially this early but does anyone know the possible pre pre pre(it's a ways out so I used 3 ores ha ha)season outlook?

Is Brown coming back for another season? an how is the running back situation gonna be considering they lost a real good one in Clark to graduation? I looked over this years game program an it looks as if they have a lot coming back and a few good size corn fed boys coming up from JV even though JVs didn't do so well. Just looking at that I'd think they may be somewhat ok, just not expecting them to do anything against the Cleveland co boys. This new conference just can't come quick enough.

Never has there been a JV team done well with Coach Brown the varsity coach. He could care less about the jv wins but more about the development. Usually he takes kids directly to the varsity for development.

I think he will have a decent year with the usuall losses to Crest Kings Mtn, and Shelby.

Yeah that sounds about right. Thanks for the insight. The last and prob the only EB team to take it to Crest/Shelby would be the 2007 Shatley lead boys. Other than that, EB just hasn't had what it takes to go at their level no matter who was coaching. John Madden in his prime couldn't get the Cavs past Crest. It is what it is. The local 2a conf that they would sit in after this year will be a huge benefit travel wise an competition wise. I sorta wish they'd be with the Lincoln co teams just to break the usual flow since they were already lined up with some of those catawba valley area teams anyway Before the next realignment hit.

I've never been a high gage guy on JV teams no how but sometimes it can be all you have to go by. Losing Clark, that QB, and wide out will hurt or at least I'm guessing they were all seniors? I know Clarks gone for sure. He just got injured during basketball season an I hate to see that for that young man. Hard worker all around.

Duckworth, the QB will be back for his senior year.

yes Duckworth has another year but will not see another receiver like
Ryan Newell again. Great choice/fit for him at LR with the new HC that likes

I gotta admit that was a heck of a wideout. Surely someone can somewhat fill his shoes. At least somewhat. Got any info on the O&D linemen? Glad to see Duckworth back, that will help a whole lot.

I'm also curious as to how this 2A conf will play out. Is it just a proposal or a done deal?

Just a proposal. Realignment won't be final til May.

I sure hope they're in with Lincoln co schools. All 2a an not far away. Just to have alittle something different. Of course we all know East Lincoln will run the tables on sports whoever is placed with them from around here if it comes to that.

But id be happy for em' just to be out of the Cleveland co mauling they take every year
